1987 Mustang GT Convertible

If you want the feeling of driving a brand new classic fox body without paying $20-30,000+, then this is the car you want. I have a very nice classic car collection and specifically set out to find a 87-89 GT convertible, specifically for the turning radius. Call me picky lol. Very little on this car is not NEW. It has never given me a moments issue except for the alternator one time and I had that replaced. It was built with reliability, handling, and comfort in mind, and that’s exactly what it provides. It has never been driven hard and it has been well cared for. Get in it and drive across the country if you want. I drive it weekly when the weather is nice. There’s nothing like having the top down at a stop light and hearing the lopey idle of a classic fox body that looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. People will stop you to ask about the car. They will wave and give you a thumbs up. This one is done RIGHT. The finished build has about 10,000 miles on it and includes….

-New long block direct from Ford (has about 10,000 miles on it now)

-Cold air intake

-Larger mass air meter

-70 millimeter throttle body

-Aftermarket intake plenum (I forget the brand)

-Mild cam

-GT 40 heads

-Ram high performance clutch

-Full exhaust system

-5 lug axle conversion

-17” pony wheels

-Full performance suspension

-Subframe connectors

-New PAINT JOB

-New convertible top

-New headlights

-Convertible styling bar

-Cold Air conditioning….

I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting.

With super sensitive steering and aggressive handling, this car feels right at home on curvy mountain roads, if not a racetrack. I’ve had all wheel drives 3000GTs, which are known as some of the best handling cars ever produced and this car handles even better. It was built that way on purpose. The 1987-1989 Mustangs also have a much better turning radius than the 90-93 models. This one turns on a dime. I’ve priced it low to sell immediately to make room in my collection for a 1965 Impala.
