Description:

1966 Ford Mustang GT CONVERTIBLE 289/2BBL AUTO

Up for Sale is1966Mustang Convertible GT 289 V8 Automatic. C code original 8 cylinder Automatic car with Power Steering 2 barrel Carburetor. Car was on the road until around 1982 and it has been stored in a garage since then. The car seems to be all original without any modifications done to it. The original color of the car seems to be yellow and it had been repainted at some point. The body has rust especially around the quarters and there is some rust under the car both sides by the torque box. The floor pans are intact but someone may have patched at some point and will likely need to be replaced or at least I think they do. The interior seems to be in a decent shape and no major rips or damage except a few rips along the stitching in the driver seat. The top may have been replaced right before the car was parked as its really in a very good shape and the rear window is also clear (clear enough to see through). There appears to be a motor to open the convertible top and sounds like its working. There is a center console in the car and appears to be complete. On the Odometer currently it shows 40,571 miles and truly not sure if that’s the actual mileage or not as we couldn’t verify with the family from the owner. The tires on the car are not in the best of shape but the hub caps appear to be the original ones and seem to be in a decent shape. The motor spins over and did start with some starting fluid when initially tested but selling as a non starting. The transmission shifts but we couldn’t test but when the car was parked we were told it was working fine. It does have a dual exhaust but the muffler pipes in the back by the Exhaust tips are rusted and broke off (the tips are saved and inside the trunk. The car now rolls fine when you shift into Neutral so it will be easy to load on a truck.
The car is NOT currently running and driving. It is going to need a full restoration and therefore selling the car AS-IS. Please do not assume anything and feel free to ask questions if you have any. Car was part of an estate and the original owner passed. There was no title found therefore selling with aBill Of Sale (BOS) ONLY. I do not have the option to enter Bill of Sale on the listing and reason it shows clean title BUT I only have a Bill of Sale and NOT a Clean Title.

Please note again, the Car is being Sold AS-IS and you will receive what you see in the pictures with only a BOS. Do not bid on this car if you expect to get a running/Driving car that does not need any work. The car needs a Full restoration and if any questions or if you want to have the car inspected by someone let me know and I am sure I can arrange something.

Shipping is the buyer’s responsibility but will be happy to work with the shipping company to arrange pickup and loading of the vehicle even if I have to deliver a short distance to make it more convenient. Car must be paid in full prior to pickup.

Full payment via secure funds must be made within 7 days from the sale but deposit must be made within 24 hours from completion of the auction.
