Vehicle Details

Ford Mustang. 1964.5 mustang coupe v8 auto project. D code 289 4 bbl. from factory, motor is 5B4 casting, I don't think its numbers matching.  Motor reported to be rebuilt in the 80s, it looks clean under the value covers and has good power running off my test carb, we have a video i can send to a cell # or WhatsApp. Will replace my carb with a ford 4 bbl. shoe box carb that needs a rebuild, it runs too fast. The auto trans leaks some but shifts in gears. We have the mustang running and yard driving, off the gas tank and it has some working brakes to stop at slow speeds. This car has verry solid floors, engine bay and frame rails. Small spots of rust on driver rear frame around shackle. The cowl is really solid, not rusted out like most and could need only to be re sealed from inside. Hood and head light buckets, horn, wires, seat platforms, passenger seat without the adjustable sliders and more are the 64.5 ones. The 64.5 generator and bracket is in the trunk. The motor starts easily for me, I ran a jumper wire to the coil, as the wire harnesses not sending a strong enough power to start the car and may need repair or replace if you want to use a alternator. The last owner drove the car from the 80s into the 90s.He sent the mustang rolling shell out for a nice paint and body restoration. Looks like a new windshield, stainless trim, front fenders battery apron, a later 65 radiator support 1/4 and whatever was needed was repaired correctly. Inside the trunk was detailed and underside of the unibody was cleaned and painted. That was 30 years ago. When he was moving the car back for assembly and interior work the tow dolly broke loose and hit a guard rail and bounced back and hit the tow vehicle, it damaged the tail panel trunk support, driver side 1/4 and passenger side rocker. Thats why most outside trim, soft goods, emblem's seals. and some wear items are old or missing. The car was left outside under a cover for some time and some spot rust is showing and there is some paint damage from being moved around, I replaced some parts that were missing, seats, vallances, etc. Have clear open title from last owner from 1983.Can get a title in my name if needed in about 2 weeks to transfer to buyer if needed.
