1977 Ford F250 Super Cab Ranger XLT

2wd long bed, 460 engine, C6 auto trans, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, Cruise control

Runs and drives but still needs some work. Good body and interior, a few spots of surface rust and one ½” spot of bad rust on the lower driver side cab corner. The work box on the back has a metal canopy that can be removed, was set up for camping. Clean Oregon Title in hand. od reads 21k miles, unknown how many times it has turned over.

Truck has a new starter, rebuilt holley cab, fresh oil change, new thermostat and temp sender, new master cylinder, and a good set of newer used tires. I replaced the original 16.5 with a set of 16s, still have the original 16.5s with factory hub caps if desired.

The truck does run and drive, the brakes need some more work, don't return all the way up but the truck does stop. It drives straight down the road 55-60 no problem. Lights work, cruise control does engage but seems to accelerate more than what it's set for. I have not tested the A/c, the blower motor for the heater makes noise when turned on. The fuel gauge, oil pressure and temp gauge do not work in the instrument cluster, there is a mechanical oil pressure gauge mounted under the radio that does work along with a voltmeter. The air horns work, there is an air tank but I did not see an onboard air pump. Also, the truck is currently only running on the front tank, it needs a new switching valve and then the back tank hooked up, I did pump all the gas out of the back tank.

I looked the truck over and could only find one spot with cancer rust, the lower driver side of the cab, it has a hole about ½” and a few other spots bubbling around it, should be an easier fix that doesn't require a patch panel. A previous owner cleaned and primed some spots on both sides of the cab above the rear side windows. I checked the spots and they are solid, no soft /holes. There is also a spot of heavy surface rust above the passenger side door in the seam that the weather strip sits in, it's not cancer but should be cleaned up and painted.

The service box was paint matched with trim installed to match with the truck. There is some heavy surface rust in the bottom of the boxes but its still solid metal in there, just needs to be cleaned up. The canopy is securely bolted to the service box but can be removed if desired, the canopy needs to be repainted, the paint is peeling inside and out.
