1929 Ford Model A

Ford Model A Roadster Pickup.Gets more smiles and waves and "thumbs up" than any vehicle I've ever owned!
The previous owner was in his 80s, and had owned the truck for over 40 years. He had it painted and the engine overhauled probably 25 years ago.
It's never spent a night outside.
All original Henry Ford steel body. No rust (other than minor surface rust) anywhere that I know of
Cranks, runs, drives, and stops exactly like it's supposed to. Goes down the road straight, with no shaking, wobbling, or wandering. Doesn't smoke or overheat ever.I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere.
Electric start. Clear and open Virginia title.
We only use it to haul the grandkids around, and to cruise the Parkway. We've owned it about 3 years.
Having said all that...it's a Model A.Don't expect it to drive and handle like a modern vehicle. It does not. And clearance between the steering wheel and seat is tight in a Model A.
Here are all the negatives about the truck that I know of. I'm NOT a Model A authority. I've only owned this one and a 31Tudor. And maybe 50 other later model classic cars.
I've never had the top down. Never tried to put it down. It looks like it would, but I've never tried it. Plus the top cover is showing it's age.The original radiator started leaking around the filler neck, and rather than trying to patch it I regretably bought a new re-pop aluminum. It works fine, but it was a pain to put in and doesn't fit like the original (notice the 4 hose clamps on the upper hose). And the Quail flew off and hit the road because it didn't fit good. I had to epoxy the Quail's wing back on.I do still have the original radiator which could be patched. The tires have decent tread, but have minor weather cracking. But hey, they have tubes in them, so I just ignore that. The paint is presentable, but there are lots of cracks and chips. The finish on the wood bed rails is peeling. The gas tank had a leak when filled to the top, which I was able to fix with tank epoxy.
Here are my terms of sale:This vehicle is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty whatsoever. All interested parties are urged to make a personal inspection, or employ an agent to do so. I will facilitate this in any way I can.The only guarantee is this; if when the buyer arrives to pick up the vehicle, he finds that there is an undisclosed major problem, then I will refund that buyer's deposit in full, no questions asked. This does NOT include minor or purely cosmetic issues, which are common in old vehicles.
Please ask all questions via the "contact seller " tab in the listing. This is for the protection of both buyer and seller. Plus, our phone service is a problem, so it's difficult for me to make or take a phone call.
If you have low or no feedback, please contact me through the "contact seller" tab and tell me a little about your interest in the vehicle and your plan for payment should you win the bid. Without that prior contact, any bid or offer a low feedback bidder makes will be ignored.
There is a $500.00 deposit due within 24 hours of an acceptable offer. The deposit may be by PayPal or bank transfer. The balance is due after 7 days, and may be by cash on arrival, bank transfer, or check. Any check, even a cashier's check, will require up to 14 days clearance before the vehicle is picked up. The vehicle may be left in my garage for up to 30 days after full payment.
Should the buyer choose to use a shipping service I will help with that any way I reasonably can. I do have considerable experience in dealing with transporters, and I have a good place here to load.
