1947 Ford Other

This classic 1947 Jailbar Ford pickup has been modified to include a useful flatbed framed in angle iron with pressure treated wood. The custom interior includes an aluminum plate center tunnel, gear shift surround, bucket seats and fully finished panels. Full electronic instruments, including tach and speedometer, plus roof mounted stereo and a working heater.

The body is mounted on a 1983 Ford F-250 4WD chassis, with a rebuilt 351 Windsor engine, topped with an Edelbrock four barrel carburetor and custom dual air intake. Transmission is NP435 4 speed manual with granny gear.It has disc brakes all around, rebuilt front and rear differentials (Dana 44 5 bolt front with Warn hubs/Dana 60 8 bolt rear), custom wheels and tires, complete dual exhaust with glass packs, and much more. It includes a receiver hitch and rear step, built in gooseneck in flatbed, and an on board air compressor in a lockable compartment under the bed to operate horn.

Since acquiring, I have continued restoration, adding racing seatbelts, turn signals and other features. I've been using it primarily as a home winemaker, annually hauling 3/4 tons of grapes up my very steep and twisty driveway Now, alas, I'm getting too old to continue making wine; it needs a new owner! This is a great driving, hard working real truck.

BEST OF ALL, it's registered and plated in California as a Special Construction Vehicle under SB100. That means it is exempt from all smog regulations and inspections.
