1975 Ford Elite

This beautiful Elite is in great condition for an all original 48 year old classic American muscle car. The body is white with a copper brown vinyl top that is in very good condition, no blemishes. The white tucked upholstery and door panels are also in beautiful condition. This carhas low mileage, 66550 actual. It starts, idles smooth, drives and looks good; a perfect collectible car FOR FULL RESTORATION or, drive it like it is with some minor attention to detail (listed below). It's a beautiful classic that was in storage for a few years but has been out of storage and driven recently. It currently has license plates and recently had a new carburetor, fuel pump and master cylinder installed. This car just needs a bit of TLC and some road exercise to be a fine automobile.
There is VIRTUALLY NO RUST (NOTE: The small dark patches visible on lower driver's side that may look like rust spots in the photos are NOT rust, they're places where the paint has flaked off and what shows is the primer coat under the paint. * A fresh coat of paint would be in order to put the car where it needs to be. The preserved original condition of this classic Elite would make restoration easy, affordable and profitable; a good collector's investment increasing in value.
FYI: The '75 Elite is rare. You can still find some 74 "Grand Torino" Elites and 1976 "Elites" (Ford dropped the "Grand Torino" part in 1975) under $10k, but you rarely find an original '75 Elite on the market unless it is restored and selling for 15-29 thou$and).
The body is straight and perfect on this car (never any damage or body/paint work) The vinyl top and vinyl side trim are also perfect. Head lights, tail lights and grille are excellent. Upholstery and door panels are beautiful without blemish. Brown dash is in very good condition and the power windows work. All glass, brightwork, trim, emblems and hardware are perfect and the original wire spoke wheel covers are beautiful. The overall condition of this car would not disappoint any serious buyer, collector, or restorer. I put my word on that as a senior citizen who doesn't play games with his promise and his honor. There's no time to waste anyone's time.
This car is a head-turning daily driver as it currently is or, could easily be a restored show car with minimal investment. THIS CLASSIC IS ALL ORIGINAL and it's ALL THERE! I planned to do a full restoration, but life circumstances changed.
It's powered by a Ford 351 V-8 'Windsor' engine and [numbers matching] automatic transmission. [The Ford "Windsor" engine is highly regarded and sought after by motorheads]. The car is sound and strong. The Elite is called the "gentleman's muscle car" because it was the top-of-the-line Ford in 1975 (It's design was borrowed in part from its prestigious cousin, the Thunderbird and its famous uncle, the Lincoln). This all- American muscle car has an impressive pedigree. That's why a really nice Elite is worth up to twenty grand or more restored. * With fresh paint, carpet and the HVAC system working properly (along with some minor attention to details listed below) this car is a valuable collectible.
I am selling it AS IS at fair market value. Look at it and you won't say I'm wrong. It may not be a 'barn find' price wise, but it's the next best thing. A 1975 Elite isn't easy to find, especially in this condition and price range. I know the value of this classic car and won't be giving it away, so please don't make a lowball offer -as I say, not interested in wasting anyone's time. I will entertain reasonable offers though, with all things considered. I'd be willing to talk about sharing some of the shipping cost depending on where it is going.

Known Issues:
Blower motor for AC and heat makes noise (not working properly)??? Unknown if AC system/compressor or heating system is operational.Small tear in headliner left front above driver shoulderSome minor surface rust under lip of trunk lid at trunk wellWipers need attentionDriver's door panel pull strap needs matching white vinyl re-wrap (simple fix)Carpet should be replaced [in my opinion], At least it needs a detailed steam cleaning & shampooTo my knowledge, not all dash gauges are working properly (but I have replacements)Instrument cluster dash panel is in good shape (not cracked and plastic gauge lenses are clear) but panel needs re-paint and re-installPower seat does not work and I have not identified the reason. [could be a simple fix ?].Hood opens and closes well, perfect alignment, but the latch, release cable, and bracket need attention. (minor fix)
THIS IS A 48 YEAR OLD CAR - RECENTLY OUT OF STORAGE - THAT NEEDS TO BE CARED FOR AND DRIVEN.

* Buyer to pick up the car in southeastern Tennessee or have it shipped. The car has been in storage for a few years but is drivable.
