1968 Ford Mustang California Special

Pretty but not Perfect, If you are looking for a perfect car, keep looking and be prepared to spend a lot of money. This rust free 1968 Mustang Coupe started its life in Phoenix, Arizona as per my Marti Report. It was a "C" code 289 automatic coupe. It now sports a 351W that came from a 1969 Torino GT. I added the 4-Speed Top Loader. It received a Shaker Hood Scoop that first came on '69 high performance Fords. It has front disc power brakes and was completed as a a California Special. The inboard dual headlights are seen on the '67 Shelby. It is a replica of the car I drove in High School and is looked upon as a "Tribute". It has shorty headers with dual two and a half inch pipes to the rear. I am running glass-pac "cherry bombs" on it just like in High School. It currently has manual steering but I have all of the original power steering that came with the car (new pump, painted housing, control valve w/rebuild kit, mounts, new hoses and linkage). It is cooled by a 24 inch aluminum radiator and has an auxillary electric fan for additional cooling. It has a one inch antisway bar in the front with a half inch mounted in the rear. Coil over rear shocks stiffen the rear end with traction bars to control wheel hop. The gas tank was replaced with a 22 gallon unit instead of the original 16. Gas goes pretty fast when you only get 10 MPG. It has an electronic ignition system (Petronix) under the rotor cup. The rear end is the original 8 inch. It is rolling on 14 inch GT Rally Wheels with a match in the trunk. Tires are nine years old but only have a thousand miles on them. The battery is new. It received new carpet and a headliner this past year. The car drives like a tank just like my car in High School. It is smelly, loud and has loose steering. With the 4-Speed, you have to "drive" this car. It can be mellowed out to your liking but this is how I like a Mustang to respond. I have tried to describe the car as honestly as I can. The passenger front floor insert was replaced (rust) due to monsoon rain entering the car through a broken window. I noticed some bubbles forming at the bottom drivers side door (see last picture). I know of no other rust on this vehicle. The car is a 10-Footer, it looks really good from ten feet away. The paint is a 7 out of 10. This car has never seen a mechanic and I am proud of every mistake I have made on it. Definitely "Pretty" but not "Perfect". Included in the sale of this car are four boxes of various parts including a roof console that needs restoration. This will be a cash transaction paid in the form of a cashiers check from a major bank. The non-returnable deposit of $1000 is to be overnighted and received within 48 hours. Trades are not welcome. Funds will need to be verified prior to any release of the car or title. We will communicate as needed by phone. I will help in the loading of the vehicle if a transport is required but shipping is the responsibility of the new owner. The car is located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Several years ago, I sold a few cars with E-Bay and had no problems. I do not anticipate any problems with this sale. I have a 100% satisfaction score and highly value my reputation. Please research my feedback. This is a ten day auction. I will not end the action early so please do not ask. The car is also being marketed locally so there may be bids that you are unaware of. Bid what you believe the car is worth to you. Please, serious bidders only. I will retract your bid if there are problems. Have fun, this car could be in your driveway before Christmas....Happy Holidays!!!
