1939 Ford truck. This is a real Frontier gas station truck with amazing patina

1939 Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup

This truck is bad ass. It can't be driven without striking up a conversation. Every time I drive it feels like a time warp. It has the creature comforts but still has all the old truck flair and feel. Hop on the highway and cruise at 80+ with the A/C on and windows up or open all the windows including the windshield and let the wind blow. The truck rides on air and can be raised up to clear the tires to turn sharp or just get over giant speed bumps. This truck has been driven in the desert while it was 115 with the A/C on keeping the cab nice and cool never getting the engine above 210. I found the silver dollar in the cab corner and used it as the horn button. The gas can was in the pile of stuff next to the truck, so I used it as the filler for the fuel tank. I moved the tank ahead of the rear axle to leave room to make a trunk under the bed wood but never got around to doing that. This truck hauls ass and can get rowdy but be calm and easy to drive. Truck has so many stories and is ready for some new ones.
Trucks back story. I bought it from a 90-year-old man that bought it from the Frontier gas station in the 70's. The gas station was in Colorado. The truck followed him to Lake Havasu where it lived for the last 30 years. In the early 2000's he thought he was going to restore it. Pulled it apart and it sat in the garage just like that till I bought it. His wife wanted to use the garage and he was ready to let go of truck. I am super happy he never stripped the roof or door art.

It had some cool etching and doesn't leak)- Steel adapters to run the wide 5 wheels.
