Vehicle Details

This is a beautifully restored 1948 Kurtis Kraft midget race car. It has been certified & shown at several AACA events, winning a Grand National 1st in Williamsport, Pa. It last ran at the 2021 Fall meet in Hershey, Pa. The car needs nothing but a new owner. It comes with a spare short block & several gear sets for the quick change rear end. The transmission is a "in & out box" These cars originally came with Offenhauser engines. When they failed they usually were replaced with Ford V8-60 engines due to the cost of the Offenhauser engines. By the 60's the V8-60's didn't have enough power to compete. The engine was replaced with the current engine in the 1970's. It is a 250 Cubic inch Ford Falcon engine that runs on alcohol & has two carburetors. It has the vintage race suit from the 70's & a complete new racing suit by today's standards & a new vintage helmet. It will come with many pictures of when it raced & pictures of the restoration. There are actual sheets of all the races that it ran in the 70's and the tracks that it ran on. There is a list of all the drivers to include Bentley Warren.
