Description:

This almost all Original 1965 Ford Mustang V8 Coupe was built in Dearborn, Michigan in March of 1965 and was eventually sold in Memphis, TN. The vehicle came with a 2 Valve 289ci 4.7L V8 Engine producing 200 Horsepower and 282 lb/ft of Torque and still has the Original 2 Barrel Carburetor on it as well as the Original C-4 Automatic Transmission and via the Original driveshaft is connected to the Original 2.80 rear axle. The Original Air Cleaner will also be included with the vehicle but it is not in best condition. And while the vehicle DOES NOT RUN OR DRIVE, it does Roll and with some work and a few parts it could be back on the road in no time. The vehicle came with Dynasty Green paint which is the 4th rarest color from 1965 with only 12,320 vehicles this color produced in this model year. The exterior of the vehicle appears to be in good shape body wise despite the Original paint being faded and it even has all the Original Emblems, Lights, Trim pieces as well as all the Original Glass. The vehicle still has the Original wheels as well as the Original Hubcaps still in place and comes with Vintage Sears Dynaglass Belted Tires. While the wheels and tires are not in the best shape we believe they could be restored to their former glory and the tires do still hold air which will help with transporting and moving the vehicle to it's new home. But we would recommend some new tires before the vehicle is driven for safety reasons. If you pay close attention you will notice in one of the photos the Original dealer badge is missing but it left it's mark on the rear of the vehicle and shows that it was sold by Oakley Ford in Memphis, TN. Now moving into the interior you can probably tell from the photos, this Mustang came with Standard Black Vinyl Interior as well as Bucket Seats. This vehicle also comes with Both Original Keys, which is a rarity these days. The Original door panels are still in place with the Original Handles, Armrests and Window Cranks. The Original Driver's Side Door mirror still works and can be adjusted via the control lever inside the vehicle located under the window crank on the driver's side door panel. The dash also appears to be in good shape with the Original Gauge Cluster still in place as well as the Original AM Radio and all knobs for the various functions of the vehicle. The glovebox still opens and closes well but is missing the inner box. If you look closely at the gauge cluster you will probably notice what appears to be very low mileage, but the mileage the vehicle shows is NOT Accurate and we believe it rolled over at some point making the mileage closer to 100782 miles. In case you didn't notice from the photos this Mustang did come with Factory Air Conditioning, the Original Blower Box is still in place inside the vehicle and the Original A/C compressor is still mounted to the engine as well as the original lines and other components. The vehicle also comes with the Original Spare Tire and Jack as well as couple of other parts we found in the trunk (see photo). While in the trunk we also noticed the Original Trunk Lid sticker is still in place on the underside of the trunk lid. This vehicle has been sitting for several years and does have some rust, but we believe it would make an excellent project car to restore since it is almost 100% complete with the majority of its Original parts still on the vehicle. It appears at some point there was some minor damage to the rear of the vehicle and someone attempted to do the body work but never finished. We purchased the vehicle to fully restore but simply don't have the time to do so with all of our other projects. While this might not be the rarest Mustang of it's time it is still a special car and checks all the boxes of a great project car with its V8, Black Interior with Bucket Seats, and Factory Air Conditioning just to list a few. Also have Clean Title in hand. So if your looking for great project car or even a parts car then this is the car for you.
