Description:

1940 Ford Deluxe

This custom 1940 Ford Deluxe hot rod is a rare find. The quality and care of the workmanship on this vehicle is solid and well documented. It is Chevy powered with a 383 Stroker and Chevy drive train. Some of the highlights of this vehicle include: Turbo 400 transmission, shortened Ford 9 inch rear, 308 gears, 4 wheel disc power brakes, 3" Flow Master exhaust, Hearst slap shifter, electric windows, Vantage Air cooling and heating and a brand new (2020) Heidts complete front end kit with power rack, sway bar, and power steering engine kit. The stunning midnight blue body boasts ghost flames at the front, shaved door handles, remote door popper, and frenched license plate.
I have a 3 ring binder (pictured) that includes all documentation of the work done to this vehicle including the build sheets for the car, motor, and trans. This vehicle was purchased in 1992 from California by a couple in Texas who had the car completely rebuilt from 2002-2005. The mechanicals and wiring were done by Four Star Automotive (the same mechanics that work on all of Reggie Jacksons hot rods). My father purchased this car from them in 2019 and brought it to Delaware. He had the Heidts front end kit installed in 2020. This vehicle is garage kept, only driven to shows (it has won several awards), and has been meticulously cared for. The only flaws we have noticed are a tiny ding on the passenger side fender and a scratch, less than 1 inch, on the driver side fender. I made sure to get them in the pictures above but they are very hard to see because they are so small.
