Price: US $42,500.00 Item location: Plain City, Ohio, United States
Description:

1968 Ford Mustang

1968 Ford Mustang. Condition is "Used".This is a driver quality 68 Fastback with many new upgrades. This is a 289 ci V8, with a 3 speed manual trans. Manual steering and brakes. It has been upgraded to non power disc brakes in the front, the front suspension has been rebuilt to make it a safe and reliable driver. It has a new 650cfm 4bbl Edelbrock carb and new intake. It has been updated to an HEI distributor. All lights and guages work with the exception of the in dash clock. The body does need some work as shown in the pictures, overall it is very solid. Passenger side torque box and rocker panel will need replacement at some point. It has new American racing mag rims and tires with fewer than 50 miles on them. There is a minor oil leak at the timing chain cover. This car runs and drives amazingly well and gets loads of attention every time I take it out. These cars are very difficult to find for sale, and most have already been made into Bullit or Eleanor clones. Original steering wheel, carb, intake, distributor, valve covers air cleaner and wheels are included. Buyer will be responsible for pick up or arranging your own shipping. $500 deposit due within 24hrs of the close of auction.

I have tried to answer every e-mail, but if somehow I have not responded, please let me know. If you want more photos or video of a specific area I am happy to provide it. I have listed everything that I can think of about this car. Please be sure that you understand this is not a perfect vehicle, and know what you are bidding on before you submit your bid. For example, I have had emails asking if this car has passenger side airbags and traction control. It does not. It has been in Ohio at least since the 80s, and I have tried to show the rust that I am aware of. I do not know if there has been previous rust repairs to anything, i.e. quarter panels or shock towers replaced. It does not appear so, but I make no guarantees to that. This car is an excellent driver quality car, and though it needs some body work, it is a great car over all. The reserve on this car is currently set at $40,000. I have added a buy it now option of $42,500. Please do not hit buy it now without being confident that this is the right car for you. Thanks for looking.
