Description:

1929 Ford Model A

The Model A was completely taken apart and restored from the ground up, inside and out. It is a really good looker. The interior is much more luxurious than you would expect. It runs like a champ, has a rare overdrive.
EXTERIOR: It is all metal body and fenders with no signs rust or damage showing. The doors don't drop, all 4 close like a new car. It has a very glossy 3 tone paint job with an orange pin stripe. The welting was replaced between the body and fenders. The windshield swings out, has metal visor. Upfront it has new chrome bumpers, new grill steel and stone gaurd. New chrome headlights with Ford script glass lenses. The vinyl top insert looks new. The running boards have been recovered, has new trim around them and optional step plates. In back it has original style tail lights, the bumperettes look new. It has a 5th matching restored wire wheel and white wall. It has an optional trunk rack. The glass looks like it is all new and the felt channels they slide in. The wheels are restored, new caps, lug nuts and valve stem covers. The reproduction Firestone whitewalls look new.
INTERIOR: Wow, I thought I was looking in a Cadillac, it is very luxurious. It is completely redone from floor to ceiling. Reupholstered seats and door panels. The headliner is new. It has three pull down shades back with tassels, they are all new. It has new handle straps. All the welting around the doors is new. It has a working dome light. On the floor it has the correct short loop carpet with bound edges. The ornate handles are all new and matching. The faux woodgrain is all redone. It also has a bevelled mirror and a swirled shift ball. Dash is painted nice. Instrument panel and steering wheel looks good.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Every component looks like it was apart and restored. This motor runs great, it will idle down to a put-put. The water pump, hoses, clamps look proper. The generator, belt, wires look good. There isn't anything that looks old and crusty. The vin # stamped on the motor matches the car.
UNDERSIDE: It was also all apart for restoration. All the nuts, bolds and harware look replaced on the front steering and suspension. It has been recently greased. Looking up at the motor it looks new, the oil pan bolts are not painted over. The 3-speed trans also looks fresh, all the harware was apart. It has a very desirable overdrive unit as part of the driveshaft. This should greatly improve top speed. The exhaust was ceramic coated. The floors and chassis is all solid, cleaned and painted.
This is a very well restored Model A with very desirable features. Everyone should enjoy a Model A at least once, even if you resell it in a year or two. Easy to maintain, parts are very available.
