New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1988 Ford Mustang-ASC/McLaren 2 Door Convertible with factory white exterior paint, a black convertible soft top and a beautiful grey leather interior. You’ll find a 5.0L V-8 engine under the hood paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and this powerful muscle car is fully loaded with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows/locks, new brakes, tires and shocks plus so much more. The miles did roll over once so it shows 22,650 but actually 122,650 miles. .

Virtually 100% Original Throughout w/ Factory Paint

The current owner of this 1988 Ford Mustang-ASC/McLaren Convertible took possession back in 1996 as the 3rd lifetime owner and he informs us that this example originally sold at Albany Valstro Ford. He was drawn to this example because it’s one of the few 5-speeds that were produced over the four-year production run. As most collectors know, the Mustang ASC McLaren roadster received extensive performance and visual upgrades on top of a heavily reinforced frame & body.

This particular 1988 Ford Mustang-ASC/McLaren Convertible is in tremendous original condition- the only changes over the years was new upholstery of the front seats and a modern stereo. It also has a new fuel pump and its fresh off maintenance with new radiator hoses, shocks, spark plugs and fluids. The current owner informs us that this example has never been raced or involved in an accident. Of course, we can’t certify those statements but we can tell you that this example looks incredible in person with only minimal blemish and it offers exceptional performance.
