1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Mustang 2+2 fastback Shelby G.T.350 Tribute~69k miles. Original interior except maybe the front seats and carpet.Transmission is a modified C-4 with B&M shift kit, deep pan, and ratchet shifter.Holman Moody mahogany shift knob. There is a cooler visible below the front bumper.Rear is 8” 2.80 gearsUnderdash gauges are Autometer brand for Water temperature, Oil pressure, and Transmission temperature.Car has a secret fuel shutoff valve with key.Original AM radio currently not working or I did not try it. The antenna is on the rear quarter and the antenna is currently removed and stored. I leave it off. The car is loud. You would not hear the radio anyway...Aftermarket center console is removable.Shelby style side exhaust just forward of rear wheels. One side has pinholes about a foot from end.Gas shocks and rear stabilizer bar. There are some sort of heavy duty mufflers behind the headers but the car is very loud.Original Ford deluxe seat belts.Engine:Modified 289. I don’t know entire history. It starts every time and is a blast to drive. Previous local owner ported and polished the heads. He removed the vacuum advance from the MSD distributor and disabled the secondaries of the Holley . It is currently running as 2 barrel. It is very fast as-is if one dares. I did not get around to setting it back to full capacity advance and carb. Prior to that owner it was in California and story was that it was on a track somewhere. The car really needs to be lowered to be used like that. The engine has a huge fuel filter. There is a fuel pressure gauge. The car has an electric fuel pump. The engine oil filter is visible below the front bumper. The air cleaner assembly need some work to hold it down better. It vibrates loose. The dash pad gauge pod has a Sun tach and a vacuum gauge. The tach works and then stops..an intermittent connection somewhere.Atop the dash is a drag racing type of light for low oil warning. The battery is about a year old and I replaced the tray with one that has a battery clamp overtop.Oil pan seems to be a B&M also. It is wet and may need a new gasket. The car has factory disc brakes. The proportioning valve is modern.Power steering is stock 1965 Ford. The hood is steel with functioning Shelby scoop. Underside of hood has rough texture undercoating. The hood pins are not in the correct location as per Shelby. These are at the top of radiator support. The passenger door front corner has a small area of bubbles under the stripe. It has not changed in the years I've had it.The lower doors have zero rust. This is a low mileage California car body. The rear tail lamp panel has a small Shelby button stuck there to cover a punched hole. The hole was for an alarm key that was removed. It is included. The door warranty plate or door tag is a reproduction. The original is included. It was scraped up. All codes are as it was originally. Halogen headlamps. California black plate included in sale. Extra parts included. Old trophies are included. Email with any questions.
