Description:

1955 Ford F-150

I am selling this beautiful truck only to allow time and money to begin restoring my '73 Bronco. I truly wanted to finish this as I have scraped, sanded, painted and rust coated every square inch of the engine and frame. I have pictures of the North Dakota "farm" that was covering the entire undercarriage and actually found wheat kernels in the gas tank. Also still have the original tailgate which had a "grain door" engineered into it.
This is a full, frame off restoration. Fenders and hood have been removed from the cab but doors are attached. The truck has been restored to the point of finish sanding, painting then reassembly. The state of restoration in preparation for painting is to my satisfaction and may not be to yours. The only significant rust on the truck was the driver's side cowl and a patch panel repaired that area. New floor pans were installed due to some overlap rust from the corner cowl. Cab, fenders, doors and bed are free of dents. The front panel of the bed is slightly bent forward and will not be repaired prior to sale. The tailgate is in perfect condition.
Original 239 V8 engine was rebuiltjust before I bought truck (I put on a new 2 bbl carburetor). I drove the truck for about 50 miles before beginning the restoration. It is truly a smooth running, great sounding engine even with the original single exhaust. I have added Ram Horn exhaust manifolds and wish I could hear the engine through these and a good set of "smitties".You will need to add tailpipes of your choice. I do have the original exhaust manifolds and the exhaust system.
Power steering was added (I actually could not turn the wheel at a standstill due to radial tires) as as well as new brake pads and wheel cylinders installed plus four new shocks.
All glass is in good condition. Seat covers and headliner were replaced with new vinyl prior to my purchase. I have the rubber mat which covers the entire floorboard and it is in serviceable condition.
All finish parts on hand, with many extras parts that are not needed on this truck but go with the deal. You will need to get bolts for cab items. I have custom cut, unfinished wood and metal for the bed kit.
The truck is still a 6 volt electric system. I have a partially installed new wiring harness with the original loom still in place (this area of the restoration is my nemesis!)
I have the original steel wheels, plus the chrome wheels on the truck and the ones I intended to use which are four steel rims, chrome moon hubcaps and chrome beauty rings. Tires are not serviceable.
I do think the truck can be shipped but since it is not completely assembled you will need to do some research as to shipping options and costs.
