1971 Ford F-250 Highboy up for auction. This is a project truck. I have been driving the truck back and forth to work. Bought the truck so could work on another and have wheels to work.
Have replaced the brake master cylinder, starter solenoid, temperature sending unit, oil pressure sending unit, fuel sending unit float, and mounts for the transfer case. Changed starter, and points. Changed alternator, have the bad one with the double pulley. Will include in auction. Can use the bad alternator as a core but will have double pulley to run the snow plow. Changed coil. Fixed taillight wiring.
Will be replacing a leaking brake line, and dimmer switch.
The truck has a dana 44 closed knuckle front axle, a dana 60 rear axle, manual new process 435 transmission, dana 24 transfer case. The truck has manual steering and manual brakes. The truck engine is a FE 360.
The truck came with a 8 foot snow plow that goes with truck in this auction. I have never used the plow. It was not hooked up when I bought the truck. It will need two pins to hook up. I took the tank off the truck for the hydraulic/atf fluid for the plow, but it will be included in auction. One picture shows the tank under the hood.
The tires and rims that were on the truck were 16". Those tires were worn and had one blow. I can replace the one tire and change out from the split rims bias tires I have on it now. Winning bidder can let me know on that. Lug nuts are going to be changed. The original rims are black in color.
Again this is a project truck and has the typical Ford bad spots cab corners, floor boards, extra. The truck will need exhaust manifold gaskets, and new exhaust down the road. The instrument lights do not work at this time. In 9-20 the truck started running rough when accelerating. Put new vacuum advance on it still somewhat rough when accelerating. Probably needs carburetor work as I have not done anything with it.
Buyer will be responsible for pickup or shipping. 500.00 deposit due 24 hrs of end of auction. Full payment within 3 days of end of auction. Cash in person, bank to bank transfer.
Hate to sell the truck and would like to have a whole collection of them but finances aren't allowing it. Good luck on bidding.
