Up for sale is a 1969 Mustang Mach1 project. This was to be parts car, but it's too nice to cut up. Amazingly, the front frames, rear frames, torque boxes, cowl, shock towers, and aprons look great (see pictures). A small repair will be needed on the battery apron, and it looks like a small repair on one of the torque boxes, but I will let the new owner make that determination.
This is an M-code car meaning it originally came with a 351W 4v engine. It was also an automatic, but was converted to a stick at some point in the past and the good news is, the pedal assembly is still there! Most of this car has been stripped before I got it, and while pictured, I have removed the rear glass which is not included. The original 9" housing is still present, but the center section was removed long ago.
The GOOD:- Stick-shift pedals- 9" rear end- Front and rear frames and torque boxes are GOOD- Inner and outer rockers are good- Aprons are good (save a small hole in the battery apron. Patch, not replace.)- Shock towers are good- Cowl is good- Roof is solid- Door should be able to be used with a minimal amount of work- Fender should be good with a minimal amount of work
The BAD:- Been stripped years ago (what you see is what you get)- Needs floors. I would do a one-piece full pan and small patches on toe pans- Needs trunk pan and transition. Trunk might be able to be patched, but I would do a full pan here as well- Both quarters need to be replaced- Needs a tail light panel- I would replace the radiator support. There is rot in the lower area, but I think more easily fixed by replacing- Inner wheelhouses look pretty good, but I think the outers will need small patches- One, possibly both of the floor pan supports should be replaced (I would do both, they are cheap and easy to do when doing the floor)- Needs everything you don't see
This is a perfect car for a resto-mod, Boss recreation, Shelby clone, or platform to restore back to stock. Make it a 4-speed, or sell the pedals. The worst places for a Mustang to rust out are in good condition in this car.
Save dozens of hours of work by not having to do a bunch of frame work. Get a great start to your 1969 Mustang Mach1 project. The dash VIN tag and both apron VINs are present and match. This is being sold on a bill of sale. No other paperwork is available.
