1938 Ford Other Pickups

This auction is for a very solid 1938 Ford 1/2 ton Panel Truck project. When I got it the business name was sanded off the door and the sides and it had surface rust in those places so I have sand those down to bare metal and primed it. The only rust was at the bottom of the doors, I cut it all out an welded in fresh 20 gauge metal. I provided photos. The truck is minus the engine and transmission and has a 9 inch ford rear end. I believe it had a later engine in it at one time, but they must have used adapter for the flathead motor mounts, because there is no modification in the engine compartment except a master cylinder on the firewall. This truck has very little rust, besides the bottom of the doors which I repaired. The windshield is broken, but the door windows and rear windows are in good shape. The top is in good condition with no rust damage in the rain gutters, there are some extra holes where a rack was mounted, but the roof is in good condition otherwise, the back doors open and close very well, but are missing the handle and latch, there is no rust in the door frames or lower panel which is usually rated away.. The fender are in great shape the quarters have no rust damage on either side, none under the spare either. There are extra hood hinge parts, the gas tank is sitting inside and is in good useable condition. There is a nice straight front bumper that needs rechromed, with bumper brackets. The grille is in good condition. The front suspension looks stock but appears to have later hydraulic brakes. The running boards are in great shape, no rust below the doors or in the door openings. The wood in the back is in very good condition and seems to be original. I don’t have the sea, but there is some bare springs. It’s a really solid truck that needs very minimal body work. The truck is out of the California DMV system so will be sold with a California Bill of Sale form. I can store it for a few month after receiving payment if a buyer needs time to pick it. I will be glad to help your shipper load it.
