1973 Ford Ranchero GT

Selling my 1973 Ford Ranchero GT. This car was fully restored about 8 years ago when I worked at Sherwin Williams automotive. I spared no expense and used only the best materials refinishing this car. I used Sherwin Williams Ultra 7000 paint with a custom mixed formula. This is the only car in the world with this exact color (I will give you the code with purchase). When freshly restored the paint was absolute show quality, however, the car has spent some time in the Las Vegas sun. The top has faded and the clear has begun to come off. I would repaint the top or use a vinyl top to make it show worthy. Also, I had a tire blow out on the driver side front and it bent the fender. I haven't had a chance to repair it. The paint still shines very nice and it could be taken to shows with those two things fixed.
  • The engine is the original numbers matching 351 Cleveland 4 barrel. This is the Cobra Jet package (4 barrel carb) and is super rare. It has been fully rebuilt and blue printed. It also has timing gears, so it has that awesome supercharger whine. I have the paperwork on the engine. Approximately $6,000 was spent on the engine. The transmission has about 3,000 miles on a professional rebuild. It's a 3 speed automatic C6. The transmission is not numbers matching, but date code correct.
  • Also, rare are the bucket seats. The console and power windows came from another car, but look right at home. The interior has been dyed with SEM products. The dash is in perfect shape with no cracks, splits, or tears. All of the gauges work except the clock.
  • The seats have been reupholstered in the original style vinyl and cloth materials. They look great despite some use.
  • The rear end has been professionally rebuilt, new seals, new bearings, new gears (3.70) and a limited slip differential. It's the original Ford 9" with the larger drum brakes. Up front it has the factory power disc brakes.
  • The front and rear suspension has been rebuilt with new poly bushings. It has factory sway bars front and rear and the car was lowered a bit with new springs. New shocks, etc.
  • The tires have good tread and very low mileage.
  • The bed has been sandblasted and coated with SEM professional bed liner. It still retains it's gloss black finish.
  • If you ever want to convert it to a manual transmission I have an extremely RARE pedal assembly and floor hump for this car available for a separate price.
Overall this is a very nice driving car with loads of power and much improved handling. Though the paint is no longer perfect it's still a great looking car. This car has been in the family since 1977 and I hate to see it leave. I hope it goes to a great home. Come to Vegas and drive it out of my garage to your home.
