1933 Ford Other Roadster Factory Five

This impeccably built 1933 Ford Coupe/Roadster from Factory Five Racing is all about the custom details. At first glance, yes, it's an awesome and highly desirable body style with awesome, miles-deep black paint. Then you dig a little deeper and see all the little tricks and upgrades that went into the comprehensive build, including a top that comes off, a dialed-in bespoke leather interior, a custom built 351W V8 engine that's pumping out 427 horses on the Dyno, and all the creature comforts you could ever want in a streetrod. A brilliant show car with only 637 miles on the build, this Ford would cost considerably more to replicate that what we're asking. So, before you embark on the long and expensive journey of creating a hotrod as stunning as this, consider this brand-new, turnkey trophy hunter instead.
The body is fiberglass from legendary Factory Five Racing, and that's not at all a demerit on high-quality rods like this because not only are the materials incredibly thick, durable and reinforced with extra supports, the resulting custom look of the car could almost never be matched by steel, yet the spirit and feel is still all high-quality Ford. The build incorporates suicide doors, a longer body, and a chopped top, so this car has a cool rake to it that matches what rodders have been doing since the '40s. A set of smoothed full fenders accurately replicate the originals, and most of the original design protrusions have been shaved, including the bumpers, hinges, cowl lights, and door handles, so it looks incredibly sleek. And speaking of paint and body, the incredibly high-end finish was done by the pros at Whitby Motor Cars in North Carolina to a show standard, and with only 637 miles on the build, it still looks new. The car was then protected with a professional ceramic coating application, so the quality has been sealed up and any dirt or water just beads right off, and we can all but guarantee that the glow and shine of the miles-deep black is about as nice as you'll ever see. Up front, there's a beautiful chrome Vee'd grille along with traditional King Bee style headlights at the flanks, so it has a very traditional look despite all the custom work that went into the build. My goodness, this '33 Ford is perfectly executed.
Outfitted in black leather and top-of-the-line components throughout, the interior is comfortable and inviting, and brings a high-end modern level of fit and finish to this streetrod that we don't often come across. The pros at Frank Collins Upholstery had a mandate to make this interior a luxurious and very welcoming place to be, and they really went above and beyond in their execution. Bucket seats make the most of the coupe's interior space, leaving it comfortable even for guys over six feet tall, and the sculpted contours are good for long road trips. Black leather has also been used on the custom door panels, headliner, and that awesome custom center console, with bright stitchwork as well as billet hardware adding contrast to further the look. All of the components inside are brand new, and before anything was installed the entire cabin was insulated with a Quite Ride sound/heat insulation kit. Power windows and 2Go keyless entry and keyless start is included, as well as a chrome tilt steering column to help you get comfortable behind the leather-wrapped chrome steering wheel. AutoMeter digital/analog gauges have been nestled into the center of the painted dash inside a billet bezel along with vents for the cleverly integrated Vintage Air HVAC system that blows ice cold. There's also a Pioneer AppRadio with Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay stereo system that sounds great and also features a back-up camera system, and it's joined inside the custom console with billet window/door controls, A/C switches, cup holders, and a Lokar short shifter for the 4-speed automatic transmission below. The trunk opens with the flick of a switch, revealing a fully upholstered cargo bay, and when the top comes off, an included windshield can be easily installed for the full roadster look.
Delivering on the car's looks is a custom built 351 V8 Windsor motor that's been dyno-rated at a super powerful 427 horsepower. Topped by an MSD Atomic Electronic fuel-injection system and an Edelbrock performance intake manifold, it fires up with ease thanks to a full MSD ignition system and pulls big power up and down the throttle. With plenty of dress-up gear inside the engine bay, it's got the right hot rod look without affecting functionality, and because it's barely been driven it remains bright and clean. Wiring and plumbing is thoughtfully done, and block-hugging headers dump into a beautifully fabricated exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers that sounds fantastic. It rides on an independent front end with QA1 adjustable coilovers, power Wilwood disc brakes, and electric power steering up front, and an 8.8-in rear end with 3.55 gears out back hanging on a 4-link with more coilovers and Wilwood disc brakes. The undercarriage is fully powder-coated, and because everything is brand new underneath, it's in show-ready condition. Spectacular chrome wheels and low-profile Nitto performance tires are fitted, filling the wheel wells for an up-to-date look that still has a traditional vibe.
This is an extremely well-built and thoughtfully crafted Ford that captures the clean look of traditional hot rods and adds big doses of performance and comfort. Every single part on this streetrod is brand new, not refurbished or reused, and with only 637 miles on the total build, it's going to dominate for years to come. Call today!
