Description:

1965 Ford Custom

I am offering this second owner 1965 Custom Ford 2dr Sedan for a friend. I will do my best to describe the car, as the owner has dementia and cannot be communicated with. The first time I saw this car was about 2010 shortly after my friend was gifted this car from the original owner upon her death. She purchased the car new and it was a very low mileage 6 cylinder at this time. Over the next two years the current owner removed the 6 banger and installed a 390 cubic inch V8, a locally rebuilt Ford C6 transmission, and dual exhaust. I photographed the car in 2012, some of the photo's shown here. At that time the car had it's original Ford rims & full wheel covers (Hubcaps). It now has Keystone mag rims (see photo 10). I have no idea where the original rims and hubcaps might be. Notice the passenger side arm rest. That door had some slight outside damage (side swiped the garage door frame), which has been recently fixed (color match fairly close to the rest of the car which has it's original paint). The body shop also remounted the arm rest at the same time. Note also the broken horn ring (see photo 12). This is a solid rust free car. There is some surface rust, but no rot through or holes. Feel free to contact me through eBay as I can offer more information and photo's to a serious buyer. The car had 59,029 original miles on it when I last photographed the dash. Since then it has been to the body shop and to a mechanic to check the timing and vacuum advance and carb. Everything checked OK. So expect a few more miles to be on the odometer.
The car starts right up and drives OK.

The car is located in Machesney Park, IL. The zip code is 61115. $500 payment of earnest money is required within 48 hours and is not returnable if buyer fails to complete the transaction. If a site visit is performed, and the vehicle found unsatisfactorily by the buyer or his or her agent, the $500 dollars would be returned less eBay and PayPal fees. The balance of the contract is due when the car is picked up in cash. Other payment methods will be considered, but would effect the date the car could be picked up, (would have to clear the banking valid transaction time requirements). The buyer must make any shipping arrangements if they do not plan on picking the car up on site.
The car is offered as is, as shown, no warranty expressed or implied.
