Pictures do not come close to doing this car justice but please click on the YouTube link above to see a two minute walk around video to get a better idea of just how nice this car really is. I do not think anybody will be disappointed with this Ford.
Have some fun this summer! Cruise the boulevard, take the kids for the most fun they will ever have going to get Ice Cream, win a trophy at any Car Show you go to, or just enjoy talking to everybody that will crowd around you anywhere you go. If you are shy, THIS IS NOT THE CAR FOR YOU. This car is ready to show and enjoy the day that you get it. It is an absolutely beautiful Pro Street 1948 Ford Coupe that was professionally built. I have about $80k in receipts for everything that was done. The car is turnkey and ready to go. If you are tired of looking at overpriced junk, you will need to see this one in person to truly appreciate just how nice it is. You could look for years to find another one this good and you certainly could not come close to building it for what you can buy this one for today.
The car was built using only the best parts. Honestly this will be a long ad and it will not come close to covering everything. It is a monster 6-71 BDS blown 434 cubic inch Pump Gas small block Chevrolet, Dart block, Dart Pro 1 aluminum heads, 4340 forged steel crank, twin Holleys, Howards mechanical roller cam & lifters, Jesel shaft rockers, Howards 5.850 rods, HellFire rings, custom J&E pistons, ARP rocker stud kit, stainless valves, billet timing gear set, chromoly pushrods, Hamburger oil pan, Moroso oil pump, electric fuel pump, and on and on. The car runs on premium pump gas. Manual valve body Turbo 400 automatic transmission, 10 inch converter, B&M Pro Stick shifter. It is back halved and tubbed. It uses an Art Morrison big tube custom four link, Aldan coil overs, Ford 9 inch, PowerTrax locker, Superior forged axles. Power rack and pinion steering. Front disc brakes. Mustang II front clip with tubular A-arms. The car is very drivable but is an absolute monster when you want it to be. It usually runs between 180 to 190 degrees. It also has an auxiliary electric fan but it normally isn't even needed. You can cruise when you want and frighten your passengers when you want. The whine of the supercharger alone will get you noticed before they even see you.
The paint and body are beautiful. It is rust free and very straight. The paint is Chrysler Blaze Red Crystal Pearl. It looks amazing in the sunlight. It has an excellent finish but has also been driven some so it does have a few minor paint chips and minor scratches. Nothing huge but I want to be honest and upfront from the beginning so you are more than happy with your new ride. The hood was painted to match and cut for the blower. It has always been run without it and unfortunately the hood procured some scratches while in storage. Nothing too major but they are there. Shaved door handles and trunk with electric door poppers. Big and little Mickey Thompson tire mounted on Weld wheels. Excellent custom interior with very comfortable black leather power bucket seats. Even with the tubs, it still has a backseat! Custom stereo enclosure, custom dash with AutoMeter Pro-Comp white faced gauges, Autometer monster tach, billet tilt steering column. Vintage Heat. No AC. Custom trunk with fuel cell and battery mounted in the rear. The 48 has Air Ride air bag suspension in front. You can lower it down to wicked weed eater height when you are parked at the show and raise it back to it's normal ride height with just the push of a button. It works well.
Clean, clear California title in hand. All in all, you will have an extremely difficult time finding a cleaner one anywhere. It is far nicer than most of them that are out there. You see a 1955, 1956, or a 1957 Chevy Bel Air at every show. When was the last time you saw a Supercharged Fat Ford like this? It is a very nice car but it is not perfect either. Please be realistic with your expectations. I would consider doing some horsetrading for an old Hot Rod, Muscle Car, or Corvette. I am located in Cardiff, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. Inspections in person are encouraged. Thanks and good luck!
