1947 Ford Sedan Tudor Mild Custom
1947 Ford Other
If a late 40’s Ford is what you are after, then look no further! This 47 tudor takes class to the next level by incorporating the perfect combination of originality and customization. From front to rear, it has a level of detail rarely seen.
This stunning car was constructed by Ridler Award winner, Roger Burnam of Lakeside Rods and Rides. This classic shares its birthplace with some of the most renowned top level customs out there. The body is incredibly straight and the fit and finish is all high quality. The car takes on a black appearance in the certain light but is actually coated with a late model Audi Charcoal Gray Metallic. The chrome and stainless work has a beautiful mirror like shine and all of the original trim is cleanly mounted in place. The paint gives the car a classy original style appearance and an awesome glimmer.
This Ford even has original rear fender guards and a frenched antenna mount, giving it a touch of old school custom. All of the glass in the car is new, and it has a two piece windshield. Side running board rockers have been fitted with a rubber guard to keep the car protected. Radir wheels sit under each corner and are wrapped with modern radial whitewalls.
The underneath of the car is just as nice as the rest with everything finished out of show quality. The frame is painted with a Volvo Ruby Red paint that contrasts the body nicely. Powering the car is a GM crate 350 that has been accented nickel with billet components. This classic motors down the road nicely, with a turbo 350 transmission and 10 bolt GM combination. The car also has a great sound with dual Flowmaster exhaust, finished with 14†chrome tips.
The interior of the car was completed by Dan Leber and is absolutely beautifully done. It is all Charcoal with Maroon piping and matching Maroon carpeting. Custom small accents like matching seatbelts and handle bases give it a perfect look. The Tahoe front bucket seats are very comfortable, and the driver has the luxury of power switches. The custom console that drapes the length of the interior, houses a Genie shifter and Vintage AC/heat control with aftermarket stereo. A similar approach was given to the window cranks, which look original, but now operate with electric control. A billet column sits in front of the driver and is topped with a Banjo Steering wheel with V8 horn button. The trunk of the car is finished out with the same style upholstery as the interior and opens via a power release.
The car was built to drive comfortably and show very well. It is one classic that has no problems getting attention.
