1993 Ford Econoline Van. E-150 Hello. The van was starting, running, and would drive if you jump it off and hold the gas, but I went to move it this morning so that I could take better pictures of it because it was parked too close to my house. It turned over and fired right up as usual and then it died and now it will not start at all. Now I have to retract my previous statement and let you know that I can't get it to start and could not move it, maybe it is the fuel pump, I have no idea. This is what I said before---(The van will not run on its own. You must apply the accelerator for it to stay running or for it to move. I believe it to be a throttle body, injector, type issue, but I am no mechanic. I do not believe it to be the fuel pump, because if you start it and “pump” the gas it will run like a champ, but as soon as you let off it will die. I can prove it to start and run if it’s forced, but as soon as you let off the gas it will die.)I apologize for this and I'm going to lower the opening bid from $2,800 to $1,800 because it is going to have to be trailered and it is not in working order at the moment. You are buying a non-working project at this point. I’m not sure why the brand-new battery that I have receipts for is being drained every time. I have the original window sticker and some accessories and a owners manual from when the van was new. It has a clean blue Texas title, all four newer tires that were purchased and installed on 7-31-2018 with receipts, a new battery purchased 10-08-19 with receipts, new rear wheel seals and bearings, new drum brakes, new wheel cylinders, new front brake rotors and pads 07-06-2019 with receipts. Also, in September 2019, The tension pulley snapped off of the bracket and flew into the radiator. Because of that, the van has a new alternator/smog pump/idler/tension bracket and a new radiator, hoses, and a new temperature coolant sensor that were all installed in October of 2019. The pictures speak for themselves on the interior. It is nice in my opinion and the lights all work. The middle seats are absent because the previous owner wanted to make it a wheelchair accessible vehicle, however he never did and lost the seats to goats. The back seat/couch still works and fully reclines and lies down into a bed if need be. The front two captains’ chairs are still very comfortable, and the electric functions still work. The wood trim throughout as pictured is in good shape and has been partially restored. The van is a great living space and would make anyone a great camper, you just need to figure out the issue it is having. I can’t afford to put any more money into the project because of the four children I have to finish raising. Please only bid after having asked all questions that you have. Please no tire kickers unless you live in the area. If you bid I expect that you have read all of the description and you know that the van is not perfect. I expect you to pay in full at pick up of the van and I expect you to trailer it away unless you are a determined knowledgeable mechanic that wants to drive it home, but even so, you will still pay ahead of time and I will allow you to work on it as long as you desire in my yard as long as the city don’t bother me about it. I am not a liar and I mean what I say. The van will not run on its own now, but it ran great until recently, I lack the time and money to mess with it anymore. Please give the van a good home.
