Description:

1988 Ford E-Series Van Police Surveillance

For sale is this 1988 Ford E-250 van. It was originally outfitted by the company Stealth-Tec as a surveillance van for a law enforcement agency in New York. It has low miles at 45,500 which is reflected on the Carfax report and makes sense for how it was used. This Econoline has the 351W motor and a C6 transmission, and it drives great. All of the surveillance electronics have been removed, but the van still has many reminders for how it was formerly used. There is a sliding door that separates the front of the van from the rear, the windows in the rear of the van are heavily tinted and it comes with black out panels for the side/rear windows, the roof rack is wired up as an antenna for the equipment that was removed, the rear fuel tank was removed and a cooler or storage compartment was built into the floor where it used to be, what looks like a roof vent is where the periscope would have been, and the side and rear doors have deadbolts on them to make it even more difficult for people to break in. There is seating for three in the rear of the van with two small seats built into the right side and a swiveling chair at the desk. With the exception of the parking brake, A/C, cruise control, rear auxiliary heater, and dome lights everything else works as it should. The van has power locks/windows and the stock am/fm cassette player. It just had a full tune up and oil change along with a new fuel filter, air filter, and wipers. The paint is original with the exception of the red stripes that were added the former owner. The tires are in excellent shape and the van really does go down the road nice. If this van could talk, oh the stories it could tell. Tax/title/registration are extra for WI residents and I'd be happy to work with your shipping company if the van is going out of state.
