350ci V8 TPI/Burgundy Ghost Flames/Vintage Air
1934 Ford Cabriolet
1934 Ford Cabriolet
Cabriolet. The word "cabriolet" has a French origin that was derived back in the 1800's that referred to a horse-drawn carriage with two wheels and a top that could be pulled over the two occupants of the carriage when weather became bad. Nowadays, the term cabriolet can be interchanged with convertible and basically means the same thing.
For consignment a 1934 Ford Cabriolet Convertible if you will, burgundy convertible top, white paint, and burgundy ghost flames on this all fiberglass earlier built hot rod. Some tuned port fuel injection and Weld wheels, and we are going to show and go baby!
Exterior
100 Percent fiberglass, however panels are straight, and gaps are fairly well managed. These panels are bathed in white paint, and present with ghost flames that are very gently airbrushed on the hood, fenders and sides in burgundy. A few chrome accents for this car on the headlights and side view mirrors as well as the curved bumpers. Speaking of this, the front is just beautifully designed with the shield shaped grille, which curves inward and comes to a graceful point at the bottom, then the bumper frames this bottom with a downward curve. On the rear this same curve accents the swooping rear trunk deck and thin oval vertical taillights. Also below are dual chrome tipped exhaust pipes peeking out. A clean, near perfect burgundy canvas top with a rear glass window is framed by a chromed surround. Weld wheels are all around and are wrapped in radial 195/50R15's upfront and big 245/60R15's on the rear.
Interior
Fuzzy burgundy broadcloth, showing slight fading, cover the buckets in this car. These have power lumbar supports; however, the remainder of the adjustments are manual. Door panels are also burgundy broadcloth and sport a silver cloth lightning bolt like graphic running through the panel. Billet style handles and knobs are seen on these panels. Up front in the middle of the buckets on the floor, is a custom covered console with matching broadcloth insert, which houses the gear shift lever, window toggles and a Sony AM/FM/Cassette with CD changer player. Way upfront is a dash covered in body matching white, and this has aluminum insert panels which have horizontal ribs. These panels house the various blue readout Dakota digital gauges which are inserted within the panel, and on the passenger's side a digital blue readout clock. Vintage air and heat controls are also within the metal dash in the center. Noted trunk is power actuated, and fully covered in gray fabric.
Drivetrain
Peeking out from under the open sided cowled hood is a 350ci crate engine in V8 format, and this has tuned port injection on top. On the back is a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and the rear axle utilizes an 8.8-inch Ford rear. Looking at this engineering jewelry, your eyes can feast on a chromed starter, polished alternator and ceramic coated headers, along with the tuned port injection manifold all polished and looking sparkling good.
Undercarriage
The belly shows in burgundy painted metal structure and suspension, with a shiny new fuel tank and exhaust. Frame is solid, with no rust. Suspension is courtesy a Mustang II for the front, and a 4 link with coil springs for the rear. Power disc brakes are on the front, and power drums on the rear. Glasspacks make for a wonderful sound to this car when on the run.
A fiberglass body that will never rust but stays within the design parameters of the original 1934 Ford specs. A tuned port injection car in V8 format, new suspension and braking, and a total cloth interior with Dakota digital gauges, vintage air and heat, and a tilt steering wheel. Your chance to own this beautiful design, all buttoned up and ready to roll.
