1965 Ford Mustang

Factory colors, an A/C interior, and long-term ownership with a long maintenance history all come together on this 1965 Ford Mustang to deliver a coupe of distinction.

Wimbledon White is always desirable on a first-year Mustang, and so it's great to have the factory-correct color still on the car today. In fact, this one really keeps its factory look quite well - from the bright chrome bumpers to the stock wheel covers. The red rocker stripes are a nice period-correct addition. Not only does it add some sporty flair, but it also helps showcase the straightness of some of the panels. In fact, this one seems to have been looked after with a careful eye. It's coming off of 35+ years of the same owner, and we even have $45k in receipts documenting the maintenance during that time.

The rocker stripe was also a nice preview of the red interior. You can tell there have been some nice investments here in places like the door panels and the AM/FM/cassette stereo upgrade. Plus, the air conditioning is blowing nice and cold. And when it some to a great classic Mustang, the front bucket seats and the grippy steering wheel are exactly what you want to enjoy the open road.

Under the hood is the unmistakable long block of Ford's inline six. The 200 cubic-inch motor has been nicely maintained. You can refer to the receipts for all the work, but really, the condition of the belts, wires, and hoses prove the proper care. There's even a modern MSD ignition. This motor starts quickly and runs like a smooth inline six should. The suspension shows more recent work to keep this feeling solid on the road, and the three-speed automatic transmission makes cruising easy.

Long-term ownership is always desirable because it means someone cared for it like a member of the family. Now it's time for this first-year pony car to join yours. Call today!!!
