1992 Ford Bronco XLT Auto 4x4 302 V8 White exterior/Blue Interior PW PL AC
I bought this vehicle a few months back hoping to get it fixed up. I always wanted a full size bronco and they really aren't easy to find at affordable prices unless they are completely trashed. This was a good fit for what I wanted. Needed a little work, a little paint, tires, and easily be a nice affordable Sunday driver. Not perfect but not 20K right out of the gate.So a couple weeks ago I slipped a disc in my back and haven't really been able to work on the project. I would like to think I could be better quickly and be right back at it but I know from past experience it will be a good 6 months before really being able to work on projects like this. The bending and getting on the ground it just isn't possible right now for me so here we are.
I will list what I have done and what the vehicle will need to make a nice Sunday driver. I will also include all the new parts that will go with the vehicle (around $1,000 worth).
  • Installed new water pump and serpentine belt. Also new thermostat.
  • New window rubber, driver, passenger, and rear window. This is all installed.
  • New rear window motor and front switch. Rear window regulator was disassembled, cleaned, greased. Works great now.
  • New Battery
  • New steering shift tube and bushings.
  • New door locks and ignition. The old ones just didn't turn smoothly.
  • New front speakers.
Parts bought but not installed which will be included.
  • New front bumper in box and bumper brackets. (the bumper on it isn't terrible but it has been hit at some point).
  • New rear shocks.
  • New front and rear brakes.
  • New spark plug wires.
  • New spare tire cover.
Current condition of the vehicle:
  • Bronco cranks right up and runs. Probably needs new plugs and a tune up.
  • Shifts into drive and reverse but has a bad U joint so the vehicle struggles to go.
  • We have driven it around the neighborhood but it really needs the U joint changed out before being road ready.
  • All glass is good. All windows go up and down and work well.
  • Power locks and mirrors work well.
  • AC blows cold. This was shocking to me but yes the AC blows cold!
  • Interior is in good shape considering the age. Seats don't really show hard wear and headliner looks good. This was a non smoking vehicle. No smoke smell or yellow staining.
  • Original radio works great. We added new speakers in the front doors when we changed out the window rubber.
  • Tires on it hold air but don't match. I was going to get a new set after paint work. Not in pictures but I have the original spare.

I have many more pictures available. Vehicle has been described honestly and completely. Please e-mail me with any questions and I'm also availble to take calls. I personally like talking to someone directly when making a large purchase and I'm happy to extend that courtesy.

This is a link with more pictures of the vehicle. Should give a better idea of the body work that needs to be done. Interior condition etc. Body work: front bumper (included just swap), hood dent (see picture), front driver fender (paint scratches) should sand out, moldings are easy on these (they are just stuck on), rust spot on rear drivers tire well, behind drivers rear tire (I think that's just surface), scratches on drivers door should sand out, passenger side is in good shape accept place on door which looks like surface rust right under the pin stripes. Hopefully all this helps, just trying to give a good description as possible.
