Description:

1989 Ford F-150 XLT

1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 2WD, NO Reserve.

This is a great work truck, a Ford F-150 4.9 In-Line V6, manual 5 speed transmission, with A/C, and 2WD.

The truck handles and drives well and appears to be mostly original with very little customization (There are wheel spacers and aftermarket 20" Rims Installed, however no other custom work was done that I am aware of). The body is clean and straight for its age, but does show minor scratches and minor imperfections to include some rust on the bumpers / upper tailgate / very minor surface rust. The 5 speed manual transmission is in great shape and shifts as it should, the motor does not produce any smoke or smells and runs very well. The long bed does have a Plastic Bedliner installed inside, This vehicle does come equipped with dual gas tanks as well. The toolbox will go to the winning bidder. In my opinion this would be a great restoration project, but I do not have the time to invest. Even though this truck does not seem to be leaking inside at all, I have new weatherstripping for the door windows and doors, and a windshield wiper switch that will go to the buyer at no additional cost.
I have recently invested approximately $1,500.00 into this truck to include a new wiper motor, new coolant / wiper fluid reservoir, new windshield wipers, fresh syntec blend oil change, rear brakes, tire rotation, and inspection. I also just had new power window regulator and motors installed in the doors, and new power door lock actuators, I also replaced the tailgate hardware.

That being said this is a 30 year old truck that is not in perfect condition. This is a list of what I know needs repair: The driver's side door jam / door catch parts need to be looked at (The door opens and closes as it should, but the driver power door lock gets hung up inside of the inner door catch...) The radiator shroud was missing since I took possession of the truck. The wiper switch needs to be replaced, I have the internal part that will go to the winning bidder. The headliner/visors need to be purchased, and the rear sliding window is missing the latch.

If you have any questions, please ask BEFORE bidding (I am not a mechanic but I will answer to the best of my ability), there is no warranty.
