1938 Ford Coupe Deluxe

1938 Ford Custom Prostreet Restomod Hotrod. Was completed 10 years ago. It was a 5-year build. It was asked to be in American Rodder Magzine in 2009 and 2009 Hotrod Calendar. Custom mods 1 1/2" pie-cut hood and recessed license plate. Custom, smooth firewall and dash. Even being a 10-year old build it's not dated because it was painted with black, low gloss acrylic enamel with flattening agent so fading isn't an issue. So, they're still painting them this way even 10 years later. It has a Chevrolet 454 MerCruiser boat motor which was a new crate motor at that time. The thing with using a boat motor, yeah, it may only have 425 HP BUT 650 foot pounds of torque. So, with the 9" rear end and 355 gears it will spin them as long as you want to stay in the gas. The car was built with custom Pete Paulson wheels 16 x 6 front and 17 x 12 rear with 335/35 rear tires but it is tubbed and narrowed and will fit much larger tire and wheel combo if you wish. It is back half square tubing with custom adjustable 4 link and QA1 coil overs front and rear adjust height to your liking. Front end is 1984 Corvette front suspension with rack and pinion steering from 1984 Thunderbird. It has a turbo 350 transmission; custom pin striping; custom Bedee gauges, Original banjo steering wheel cut down and installed gold flake steering wheel. Has a knee-knocker style tachometer. Yes, tilt wheel. Of course, power steering and power brakes. Paint is in excellent condition to be 10 years old. It's a proven driver and has been driven. Tried to show in picture that the front end has been touched up from chips, bugs, and such. Driver seat is electric and has electric windows. Custom one-piece flush mounted windshield. Radio is mounted in glove box. Of course front seats show some wear because it has been driven. The rear seats look brand new and the tops do fold down to open up to the trunk. Custom hood and trunk release under the dash. Car runs excellent. Rides excellent. No issues. No rust. In pictures I tried to show just a couple of spots in the paint (as big as your fingernail) where paint has bubbled up but it's not rust. The car has no rust issues. Fit and finish on the car was excellent and still is. If someone wanted to paint it, it wouldn't take much because of the excellent condition of the body and the excellent craftsmanship in the building of it. Always garage kept except whenever on the road to a car show. Car has been maintained very well over the years. This is a REAL NICE car!!
Car is for sale locally so it can be removed at any time.
