This is a true 1966 Ford Mustang GT Fastback, K-Code. The K-Code stood for the engine code on the VIN, witch would have the 289 High Performance engine in the car. This Mustang GT fastback came from the factory with a K-Code 289 V8 HP, 4V, automatic, disc brakes, black pony deluxe interior and Springtime Yellow paint. As you can see in the photos this Mustang GT fastback will need a full restoration. There is no 289 HI performance engine, transmission, or 9" rear end housing for this Mustang GT K-Code, they have been missing for 30 years. There is an 8" rear end housing. The K-Code VIN numbers are on the inner back fender panels. The front left inner fender panel was changed so the K code is not on that panel. The original hood,door and door data tag for the Mustang was changed. The frame rail, torque boxes are solid.The floor board, trunk floor, lower rear quarter have rust hole. The roof has a few dents. There are no other parts for the Mustang other than what you see in the photos. I found this Mustang in Texas inside a 18 wheeler trailer. It was stored inside the trailer close to 30 years. It was a Louisiana car. I have a clean title for the Mustang K-Code Fastback. I can send more pictures on request.
