1932 Ford Other Roadster

This 1932 Ford Highboy is a low mileage V8 build that has all the right classic looks, but also carries plenty of subtle modern upgrades (including an overdrive transmission). The result is a cool vintage machine that's an overall thoughtful hot rod. White is always a color of distinction, and on a build with less than 5,300 miles on it, it retains that crisp look. The low-cut windshield, deleted fenders, and minimalist attitude delivers the vintage hot rod... look. There are even vintage leather straps holding down the hood. But as you get closer, you can see they invested in the details to make this distinct. The body is mildly channeled into the frame to give it a sleek look without taking away from the classic highboy appearance. The black canvas roof looks distinctive against the white, and it coordinates nicely with the black grille. There's also power-controlled hatch to conceal the manual convertible top, so that you have a very flush-fit look whenever this one is open to the world. But our favorite detail is the pinstriping. The green and orange are brightly distinct as this hand-painted design weaves it way across the white fiberglass body. Plus, the orange coordinates with the solid steel wheels. So you see what we mean about a thoughtful build! If you like the look of the black roof against the white paint, then you'll love the interior. It's a premium and supple presentation, that includes a nicely contoured leather bench. Plus, you'll love the detail work, like the exterior-matching pinstriping across the dash and the Ford V8 logo on the banjo-style sports steering wheel. While this is a performance machine, it also has added comfort you don't get from many hot rods. It includes a tilt steering column, plush carpeting, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input to plug in your iPod or charge your phone. The engine bay has the ideal vintage look with the butterfly hood, bright air topper, ribbed valve covers, and an overall tidy appearance of a proper investment. But while it earns the look of a display piece, what you'll really love is the substance behind the style. It's a 283 cubic-inch V8 that has been upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel, hi-rise intake, and ceramic-coated headers that feed a sweet-sounding glasspack dual exhaust. It even has the right supporting components, like an HEI distributor and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you see more evidence of how fresh this build is. More than just look great, this one was built to drive. That's why you have nice features like power brakes w/discs up front and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. This is a great-looking and smooth-running hot rod that has all the right custom upgrades and details. So if you love a thoughtful build that's already ready to go, call today!
