Very Nice Original 1964 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Short Box Fleet Side Older Restoration Of Southern USA Imported Truck.

This is an original appearing 1964 Ford F100 short box pickup truck. A closer examination of the undercarriage reveals the original unaltered damage free frame which has an older black paint coating, showing areas of minor surface rust. The cab floor pans appear original, rust and damage free, painted and detailed in the body colour. The inner and outer rocker panels appear original, rust and damage free. Both doors appear original, rust and damage free, fit and operate correctly. The inner step up area is also original, rust and damage free. Both front fenders appear original and damage free. The hood appears original, rust and damage free, fits and operates correctly, painted and detailed in white on the inner panel. The fleet side truck box appears original, rust and damage free, fits correctly. The tail gate is also original, rust and damage free, fits and operates correctly. The pickup bed box which is the original patterned material, is rust and damage free, painted and detailed in the body colour. The truck roof panel and lower cab corners appear original, rust and damage free.

The front and rear suspension is the original unaltered design with replacement parts as required.It is painted and detailed in black, both appearing to be in good working order.

The engine in this vehicle appears to be the original 292 cu. In. V8, smooth running without signs of oil leakage or consumption, painted and detailed in a red colour, showing signs of minor deterioration.It is equipped with the original accessories including

2 barrel carburetor and manifold, with an aftermarket chrome breather, original valve covers painted red. It is equipped with the original exhaust manifolds and cross over pipe, painted in silver heat paint. The firewall and inner fenders appear original, rust and damage free, painted and detailed in gloss black. The firewall is equipped with the original master cylinder. The rad cradle is a new correct replacement, painted in gloss black, fitted with a new aftermarket aluminum radiator.

The transmission in this vehicle appears to be the original factory installed 3 speed standard, controlled and monitored by the original column mounted shifter, with a recent replacemebt clutch in good working order.

The vehicle is equipped with an older original style single exhaust system in good working order.

PAINT

The paint on this vehicle is an older base clear coat application over the original turquoise and white colour combination which was the original colour. It has a smooth glossy finish with minor areas of orange peel. There are also several areas in the lower portion, touched up over paint chips. There is no evidence of body damage or rust perforation at this time.

INTERIOR

The interior in this vehicle retains the original bench seat which has recently been recovered with a black velour cloth material pleated centre section with black vinyl outer shells, in good condition. The carpet is a non original custom installed black cut loop pile replacement, in good condition. It is also equipped with the factory installed seatbelts.

The door panels are painted the body colour, fitted with aftermarket oval speakers.There is a non original grey cloth headliner showing minor wrinkling, in good condition.The dash is original, painted the body colour, housing the original gauges, appearing to be in good working order, along with an aftermarket Pioneer single CD stereo.There is also an aftermarket American wiring fuse panel and harness correctly installed below the dash.The vehicle is equipped with the original steering column, mounted with the correct original steering wheel, in good condition, also painted the body colour.This vehicle has also had recent correct rubber gasket window and door replacements.It is also equipped with a new correct replacement gas tank, mounted in the correct location to the rear of the bench seat.

CHROME

The front and rear bumpers appear to be rechromed originals, in very good condition. The front bumper is fitted with optional bumper guards with rubber inserts. The rear bumper is fitted with optional step up plates with rubber inserts, in good condition. The grill and headlight bezels appear original, aluminum alloy material showing minor dullness and surface scratches. It is also equipped with the original style, optional chrome dual outside rearview mirrors, showing minor chrome dullness. The exterior custom cab aluminum alloy body stainless is original, in good condition, showing minor dullness.

WHEELS & TIRES

The vehicle is equipped with non original aftermarket, painted white, slotted 15x8 steel wheels mounted with Firestone Firehawk raised white letter radials size P235/70R15's on the front and rear.

GLASS

The windshield is a recent, tinted and shaded safety glass replacement, new appearing along with new rubber gaskets. The side and vent windows are original, non tinted safety glass, in good condition. The rear window is a later model optional Ford sliding safety glass, in good condition. The side windows are manually assisted, in good working order.
