1953 Ford F-100 Cab, (THIS POST IS FOR THE CAB ONLY)

History:

I bought this '53 in 2010 with full intentions of restoring. Life sometimes takes you in different directions. In 2014 I slowly began restoring panel by panel starting with the cab. The cabs rear corners have been done, chop completed 4.5”, firewall completed, top cowl vent closed, side air grill completed, the only outstanding aspect of the cab is the front cab corners, which need replacing an I am supplying both corners (new, see photo). There is very slight floor pan work at the corners that will need attention, too (see photo). The drivers door had been slightly damaged which is the reason you see it finished and epoxy primed.

I am providing many photos, to show that a proper fit is a reality. When I moved from FL to SC the shop working on my F100 assembled the body for transport only. There was no attention given to alignment of body panels. Doors simply on hinges without alignment, hood sitting on fenders no hinges (just to give you some perspective of fit). I also took the step of having a custom glass shop in Fort Myers look at the finished chop, assuring me that the chop was correct and glass (although custom) a reality.

VIN #F10D8M-18199, This is the real deal, no glass obviously other than the rear, tinted heavily. But overall a very solid cab!!! I have a great deal more invested in the chop and body workthan asking.

I am selling this chopped cab because I have decided to move forward on an untouched cab for the final restoration (see picture).
