Description:

1959 Ford F-250

59 F100 shortbed body set on a 67-77 F250 longbed 4WD frame by a previous owner. We replaced the axles and drivetrain. The front axle is a 79 Dana 44 rebuilt by a local 4x4 shop, the rear is from a 91 F350 dually and is limited slip, both have 4.10 gears. The engine trans and transfer case are from an 88 F250 which had approx 130,000 miles. The engine starts easily and runs well, it had set for over 10 months when I started it last weekend and ran after three short tries and a small shot of ether. The clutch and trans work well in all forward gears but it can be difficult to get in reverse. It has power steering and power brakes, the brakes are rusty from sitting, they need adjustment and are very grabby.New are; radiator, drive shafts, fuel tank, gauges, muffler, door sealsWiring and steering are from a 70's Ford car, the wiring all seems to work but I'm including a Ron Frances WireWorks kit.The frame was cut for the short bed body and the rear spring shackles were bolted on. The cab corners have a little rust which can't be seen, the floors where they meet the firewall have been worked on at some point. The unseen sheet metal was treated with KBS paint when the front end was removed.Needs most; seats finally set, door seals installed, brakes adjusted.I've driven it on several 5 mile trips without incident but never farther, I wouldn't recommend you plan to drive it home from Indiana.
I've tried to embed a video for a couple of hours now but no luck, I can forward if eBay allows me to say it.
