Description:
1965 Ford Mustang
1965 Mustang Convertible with its number matching 289 V8 Four Barrel. I have a clean Utah Title in my name. This is a running, driving, Mustang that is currently registered. This Mustang had been sitting since 2005 (14 years) in a dry Utah yard until I purchased it. Please look closely at all of the photos and read the detailed description. I want the new owner to know exactly what they are getting. I have over 1000 positive feedbacks on Ebay with no negative feedbacks. I highly value my feedback score on Ebay, and with this in mind, I will detail both the positive and negative aspects of my Mustang in detail. I want this to be a good, straightforward, auction. On the positive side: 1. This is a good running Mustang with the original "A" code 289 V8 4 Barrel engine. I had the carburetor rebuilt, a tune up, fluids changed, and Mustang fired up and runs excellent. It has substantial power, shifts smoothly, but the brakes need work. 2. The lights, horn and power top work well. The power top goes up and down correctly and without assistance. 3. The doors, hood, and trunk open and close properly and the keys lock the doors and trunk. 4. All of the glass is good, but there are problems rolling the rear windows up and down. 5. The body is straight and has minimal rust problems. Please look at the photos and the negatives aspects for a complete description. On the Negative side: 1. Mechanically, the Mustang needs very little. The only problems that need addition are the brakes and the tires. The brakes stop the car, but the passenger's side rear brake locks up periodically and I would recommend a rear brake job. In addition, the tires are old and need to be replaced. They have good tread, but are too old to trust on a long trip or at highway speeds. 2. The body of the Mustang is usable, but needs attention. There are rust bubbles on the driver's side rear fender. They don't appear to be serious, but they indicate rust problems under the surface. In addition, the passenger's side front floor has rust problems that should be corrected. Fortunately, there are several aftermarket Mustang catalogs that have the parts needed to correct the rust issues. The frame rails appear to be in good shape. I could not find any rust holes in any of the frame rails. 3, The original interior is complete with the exception of the rear seat lower cushion. The front seats have splits in the seams that need attention. The door panels are good, but the armrests need work. It has the tonneau cover that covers the top frame when the top is down. Again, please look closely at the photos. 4. All of the glass is good, but the rear windows don't crank up properly, and need attention. From sitting, I think the gear mechanisms are clogged with 14 years of dust, and just need a good cleaning. As I mentioned above, I want the new owner to know exactly what they are buying. I know the risk of buying a car on-line, without the ability to personally check it out. With this in mind, don't hesitate to give me a call. My number is (801) 745-5835. I will be glad to answer your questions about my Mustang. I will assist the shipper you select in having the Mustang shipped anywhere in the world. If you have less than five (5) positive feedbacks on Ebay, please message me or call before bidding. I want this to be a good auction with no problems. Good luck bidding, and don't hesitate to give me a call with any questions.Vehicle Details:
