Pictured for sale is a 1967 Ford Mustang GTA S-code fastback, VIN 7T02S252XXX. Originally from Virginia, this Mustang's original factory color combination is the very attractive Silver Frost Metallic with a black interior (see last photo). The vehicleappears to have been last licensed and on the road in the late '90's as indicated by the license plate dates and window stickers.Having been preserved in storage for many years, the car's structure is quite solid for a 52 year-old vehicle, and the expensive and hard-to-find parts needed for the restoration are included which makes the process that much easier.
Body
- All front frame rails, shock towers, rocker panels, and rear frame rails are 100% original Ford, solid metal (which is difficult to find nowadays)
- Floors are all original with red oxide primer underneath and quite solid overall but will require some limited patching and/or replacement in some areas as most Mustangs do
- Overall structure of Mustang is extremely straight without any indication of previous accident damage
- Appears to have all original body panels except battery apron that looks to have been professionally replaced at some point
- Will require body and paint work
- Trunk floor is completely solid, and pans still have original silver paint; trunk drop-offs will need attention
Mechanicals
- Period-correct Mustang GTA drivetrain (complete 390 and C6 transmission although no attempt to start it has been made)
- The engine turns over freely by hand and will need to be rebuilt as the car has not run for quite some time
- Retains a V8 suspension including the original 9" Ford rear with large drain plug
- Transmission linkage is not connected but will roll and steer easily for transport
Miscellaneous
- All glass and stainless trim is present and intact
- Full interior — seats, fiberglass, and trim are included, usable, and in place
- GTA-specific items such as fog lights, wiring, reinforced rear floor pans for dual exhaust, along with original tac dash, etc. are all included and in place
- No keys are provided
- A nice, solid, original car that is all-together and complete makes an ideal start towards a high-end restoration sure to pay dividends once completed
Specifics
- VINs on fender aprons and door tag are present and match a clear Illinois title in my name
- Original Buck tag present on fender apron that designates the GTA option
- Will assist any carrier with loading vehicle for transport
