This truck has received many compliments with it's beautiful two-tone Green/White paint scheme, which closely resembles the factory colors, and such originality showing throughout it's restoration. New, this truck sold for $2,778 back in 1964, and in the pictures you will see the options that have been upgraded, including front and rear springs, radio, heater, tinted windshield, Cruise-O-Matic Auto Trans, and Two-speed wipers. This Truck was also dressed up with theCustom Cab option, Style-side moldings, Chrome bumpers and Chrome hubcaps. This is a really neat truck that has been well cared for over the years! The two tone theme carries throughout the Interior and looks great! The seat has been reupholsteredin it's original design with added seat belts for safety. This is a working mans truck, so no carpet was installed, but under the rubber floor mat you can see that the entire lower cab has been layered in sound deadener to reduce both noise and heat. Add the Heater and Radio options, this makes for a comfortable ride whether you are driving to the store to get some supplies or to the local car show. The engine is the 292ci Y-block 2V V8 and it runs great, Starts quick and is also very quiet. Not much has been done modification wise to the engine, so this is how you would expect the truck to drive straight out of the factory. These trucks had to be special ordered with the Cruise-O-Matic Auto Transmission, which was a $243 option, butit really makes this truck a pleasure to drive. The Rear end is nice and quiet as it should be.The Chassis is in great shape with no visible rust or damage seen, Some wear/use is seen as expected, but nothing hindering the usability of this truck. Heavy Duty springs were special ordered from the factory (Front 1100lb, Rear 1250lb, both were $9.70 for the upgrade) to make this truck more usable over the factory springs. Front end is tight and very solid feeling and this truck runs/drives and stops straight while driving down the highway. The Rims have been painted to match the body with factory style hubcaps, and wear a new set of Venezia Classic 225/75r15 Tires on all 4 corners. What really sets this truck apart from others is the fact that this truck was kept and restored back to original condition, where-as most of these era short bed pickups have been modified, slammed andaltered in such a way, that the new generation cant really appreciate howthese trucks were built and used back in it's day. This truck is sure to strike up conversations and bring back memories to many people who remember these trucks in their families. For Transportation we recommend Mike's Discount Auto Transport. They offer the best customer service and pricing in the industry.Call them for a quote at (888) 671-9285
