Up for bid is a very rare find, beautiful California Classic 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible in Red with a Black power top. This is a San Francisco Bay Area original having been built 12 miles down the road from where it sits in Milpitas at Fords San Jose plant nearly 50 years ago. This car was a recent trade in at a large San Francisco import dealership.
Apex is the highest volume independent dealer on the West Coast with over 200 automobile transactions per week. We get all the trades from all of the major highline dealers from Monterey to Silicon Valley, rom San Francisco to Napa County we have many vehicles pass through are hands on a daily bases and this classic 1969 Mustang Convertible is an example.
I just bought this car last week so I know very little about it other than the previous owner has spent a great deal of money restoring the car and the dealership gave a $20,000 trade in allowance. I am offering it today to a worldwide audience exactly the way I bought it. I have tried to show every angle of the car and will describe what I see as well as include a condition report from the inspection of out shop.
As you can see it is a very clean, ood running driver. She fires right up and sounds great with Flowmaster exhaust. It is a very clean car with shiny red paint that looks like a quality base coat and clear coat with lots of clear and looks to be a quality job. I have no idea of who did or when it was done but visually looks very nice. The negatives are a little bit of over spray in the engine compartment and the door jams. I believe the original color is white. The hard part is done with a little detail work in an afternoon this could be a very affordable show car.
The car has the optional 210HP "F" code 302 which runs very strong. It seems like a low mileage engine but have no idea of what the miles are or when it was rebuilt. It has what looks like a brand new Edelbrock carburator and an aluminum Edelbrock intake, as headers and bright chrome Edelbrock valve covers. The 3 speed automatic shifts smooth as it should. The brakes are like new. It has the optional Magnum 500 chrome wheels with very nice tires.
The hard work has been done with a little bit of detail you could make a super clean little show car that will only go up in value.
This is a very clean classic Mustang Convertible driver, t fires up and runs great as it is however a work in progress that at this point a great deal of money has been invested. It is however not a show car and we have compiled a extensive condition report on the car so please read carefully as this car is being sold as you see it.
When it comes to classic muscle cars if the top goes down the price goes up. You really can't go wrong with a convertible Mustang from the 60's.

The successful high bidder will submit a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of auction to secure the vehicle. The buyer will pay a flat fee of $150 to cover administrative expenses to cover over night fed x fees for sending you the title and all of the paper work. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due plus applicable fees and taxes within 5 days of the close of auction.
