1928 Ford Model A

1928 Model A Ford AR Sport Coupe and was the 1st one that was sold in theSan Francisco Bay Area ( June 20, 1928 ). The ORIGINAL Invoice (Bill of Sale),ORIGINAL Registration metal tag and ORIGINAL Dealers 12 page Sales Brochurecomes with the car. Please see them at the end of pictures.It retains its ORIGINAL engine (151666 which denotes being made in May of 1928),
transmission and rear end. The California Rust Free car was taken apart right down to the bare frame. Every part and piece was checked for wear and if any was found
it was repaired or replaced with NOS or New if no NOS could be found.
Nothing was overlooked and No Expense was spared. I have receipts totaling
over 68,000.00 in parts and services was not to mention the 1000+ hours to
VERY meticulously reassemble the car with the Highest Detail Possible!
Not only does it Look GREAT but it Runs GREAT! The engine now produces over 70+horsepower with the added improvements as detailed below. And with the Mitchell
overdrive it loves to cruse at 65 mph while only taching 2100 rpm.

New Weber carburetor. (Adds 10 HP)NOS "Fumaze" oil filler.New flywheel starter ring gear.New clutch and pressure plates.ALL PRECISION BALANCED.
TRANSMISSION:Original unit sent to Michell.Striped down and Magnafluxed - No cracks found.They installed new shafts, gears, bearings, bushings with 2nd and 3rd gearsynchromesh. (No More Double Clutching - Which Is Heaven!)
OVERDRIVE:New Mitchell unit with "Ford standard ratio", "neutral" & "overdrive" options.Adds 26.6% (about 15 miles per hour) to the Ford standard ratios.Makes cruising at 65 MPH a breeze at only 2100 RPM!
TORQUE TUBE AND REAR END:New ring and pinion.All NOS and or New bushings, bearings and misc. parts.
BRAKES:All original shoes have "bonded" linings for extra long life.Front - all New or Nos standard style Ford parts.Rear - New "Flat Head Teds" brake floaters for extra stopping power.Original front brake actuators - all new bushings installed.Drums - New excellent quality cast iron for better heat disbursementand less fading.Center Pivot - Taken totally apart and installed new bushings with
grease fittings added.
ELECTRICAL:New Opitma battery, wires, terminals, bulbs, coil, brake light switch.New alternator - the best quality type that energizes at low rpm.Original Starter - it had a full rebuild. (Armature, windings, bushings,
NOS brushes and new bendix.)New Sony Premium Blue Tooth sound system. (It is great to enjoy yourfavorite tunes while touring!)The Original horn and wiper were in excellent working condition so theywere just repainted.
FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION:New king pins and bushings.NOS spindle arms and spindles.NOS "Dog bone" shock connectors.Original Shocks - all totally rebuilt by Bert's Model A Parts.
SPRINGS:Original front and rear - taken apart, cleaned, arch checked, paintedand put back together with moly grease mixed with dry graphite betweenthe leafs.NOS bushings installed in the spring ends and the perches.
BODY:Striped down to bare metal - no rust found. Primed and painted in
Niagra Blue with lighter blue belting and a tan pinstripe. It was donein lacquer and as you know it tends to crack as it is so hard. Thereare a few hairlines but you have to be very very close to see them.I mention this as I want to be as accurate as possible with my description.The finish is VERY smooth and VERY glossy!All Is Super Straight And Tight! (The doors, hood and rumble seat closePerfectly.)
FENDERS, SPLASH AND ALL OTHER BLACK PARTS:All were striped down to bare metal - no rust found. Primed andpainted in Acrylic Enamel. Again, the finish is Very Smooth andVery Glossy as can be seen in the pictures.
