Description:
1964 Ford F-100 1/2 Ton Step-Side Resto-Mod
1964 Ford F-100 1/2 Ton Step-Side Resto-Mod Pick-Up selling at "No Reserve"This is an extremely rare old classic antique 55 year old Ford Pick-Up truck. This very cool fully restored vintage pick-up truck is selling at "No Reserve". The restoration was performed over a decade ago, but it was only used in the summer months on rare occasions, and then it went to not being used at all. The purchase was made from the husband of an OB doctor whose Grandfather owned this truck brand new. She had very fond memories with her Grandfather in this pick-up truck, so after her Grandfather passed she had her husband locate various restoration shops to fully restore this classic. No expense was spared since she is a doctor and had unlimited funds to make this truck into basically a work of art. I will explain everything I found out at point of purchase.

This is the first time this Classic Antique Cool Old Ford has ever been offered to the public on eBay.
I don't know much about these old Fords, so I will not claim any responsibility for exactly what size engine it has. I'm just going by what I was told. I can't say for sure if the engine is a 390, but it sure looks like one to me. My close buddy who has had many Fords believes it is a 390 as well. I don't believe they had a 390 available in these trucks in 1964, so the engine is probably out of something newer. I think it was a nice upgrade. According to the prior owner the engine was completely rebuilt. There is an Offenhauser Aluminum intake manifold with an Edelbrock carburetor, and the Old School Mickey Thompson M/T valve covers. A new air cleaner was just added inside the chrome Edelbrock air cleaner.
This truck was stored in a heated garage in the winters, but the battery was drained, so a newer battery was replaced. The keys were misplaced, so a new ignition was just replaced last week, and this bad boy fired right up. The exhaust system has true duals front to back with dual Flowmasters, so it has a nice rumble. I haven't taken it on any long trips. The truck was mainly cleaned and detailed and taken on a test drive to make sure it still shifts properly before the pictures were taken the day this auction started. It has a B&M shifter as shown on the center section of the front floor. The truck is being stored at my buddy's property just over the Illinois/Wisconsin state line in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It will need to be picked up from that location.
As stated earlier no expense was spared redoing this classic 1964. The body was completely redone and it is very hard to find a flaw anywhere. All the panels on the body of this truck are laser straight. This paint job is super nice and it is very hard to find any imperfections. The underside of this truck is almost as nice as the outside of the truck. It would not take much to bring this truck up to a live auction level where it would command the top dollar that these old trucks have been showing recently.
I suppose this could be called a Resto-Mod, because the steering column has tilt wheel, and a custom steering wheel. The entire interior has been completely redone including new carpet, new headliner, and the front bench seat with the nice relaxing arm rest is also brand new. The bed was never used for any hauling, so the inside of the bed walls look as nice as the outside of the body. The wood on the bed could use a nice sanding and coat of varnish. The full set of four American Racing wheels and the Nexen Roadian HP 255/55R18 inch steel belted radials were all purchased brand new.
The owner could not locate the title, and since it hasn't been registered in decades it does not appear in the DMV system any longer. Therefore, this truck does not come with a title, but is free and clear of any liens. The winning bidder will receive a Bill of Sale in their name. I know it is relatively easy to obtain a title in many states like Indiana and Georgia. Many states do not require a title on classic cars over 25 years old anymore. Dealers and repair shops have easy access to titling the older vehicles as well. I have heard of an easy way to obtain a clean and clear title in the new owners name through the Broadway Title Co. in Bangor, ME. That can all be done online with a little research. Obtaining a title will be left up to the winning bidder.
These older classics that have survived for nearly 50 years are becoming harder and harder to find. The Nada Classic Car Price Guide currently has the 1964 Ford F-100 1/2 Ton Step Side Pick-Up Truck listed at $49,100 in high condition, which theyconsider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show truck or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices.
Nada has the average condition value listed at $21,900 which theyconsider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a20-Footer!
They have the lowest condition value at $11,500 being considered a deteriorated restoration or a very poor restoration, but mostly usable "As-Is!" The lowest value does not represent a parts car, but would be considered as the price for a truck needing a complete restoration.
The Nada numbers don't lie! This Antique 1964 Ford is a very valuable classic. It would be very hard to find a truck of this magnitude without spending over $30,000.
I knowthis description is quite lengthy, but Iwanted to try and list all the pertinent information about the car, so every potential bidder can make the most informed decision prior to placing their bid.If you feel anything may have been left out please ask as many questions as you like. They will be answered in a timely fashion. A great deal of time, money, and effort went into making this truck into the sweet cool ride it is today. Every part on this truck looks like it was repaired, restored, or replaced. The husband said the restoration and everything added to this truck cost in excess of $20,000. His wife's sentimental journey just came to an end. What you see is exactly what you get!
This truck is being offered at "No Reserve" on a quick 5-day listing. It will sell to the highest bidder on Sunday evening at 5:00pm Pacific, 7:00pm Central, or 8:00pm Eastern time depending on your location.
