Description:
1932 Ford Other Blsck
The dual overhead cam cylinder head, cam drive, 5 main bearing crankshaft and lower bearing support were designed and built and built by Robert E. McKinney of San Louis Osbispo. He built 8 or 11 about 10 years ago. His son has the plans, tooling and parts. It all bolts to a 29-31 Model A or a 32-39 Ford "B" block and produces over 200 hp.With some further development, Steve Nelson has one that makes 284 HP at 5500 rpm on alcohol. Steve holds a vintage four Bonneville record over 204 mph with his REM Offy. The engine starts easily, and does not smoke or overheat. The car is built on TCI chassis, with a good quality fiberglass body. It has hydraulic brakes, clutch, and a Ford V-8 rear axle with a Halibrand quick change (8 gear sets) The lights, instruments, electric fuel and water pumps, as well as the electric fan work properly. It steers easily, tracks straight, and the brakes do not pull, grab or squeal. The 5 speed shifts properly and does not make any unusual noises. However, you'll probably want to complete the exhaust header, and install a muffler and tail pipe as it is LOUD>
It is titled and registered is a 1932 Ford in California until late August 2019.
I'll be happy to walk around the car with a phone to describe and photograph any detail.
