1956 Ford Other Pickups Car Hauler

Only 366 miles on incredible 1/4 million $ build! Has many uses- haul your show car, bikes, race car etc. Promote your business. Steal any show you take it to. Where do I start! I guess I want to stress the quality and workmanship that went into this build is amazing. No expense was spared. It is restored to a concourse level, even the chassis is detailed. Billy Jarrett of North Carolina had the dream to build a custom truck... as a tribute to American trucking. $250,000 invested, 23 years to build and only a few hundred miles since finished. He took an old 1956 Ford C800 COE (cab over engine) and created a truly 1 of a kind, functional show piece. Unfortunately Billy passed, some lucky person will be able to enjoy the "no expense spared" "no detail overlooked" results of his dream. There is so much to talk about, so many details worth mentioning, I broke it down into categories. The closer I look, the more impressed I am and you will be too. EXTERIOR: Cab: 1956 cab over body was restored to show quality. No rust or damage. The metal is straight as an arrow and has black paint polished like a literal mirror. Door jambs are slick black, the latch is even chrome. Top of the hood was louvered and has a chrome ornament perched in the middle. The cowl vent actually is power operated. It is decorated with show quality chrome. Every single little piece is new including all the trim around all the windows, the door handles, washer tips, antenna etc. The emblems are chromed and the inserts are painted. Even the key lock covers and wiper arms are polished. Has a substantial bumper with chrome vertical guides at both ends and a license plate bracket that folds into two steps. The grill is chrome. There are 2 polished air horns on the roof and yes they work. Has stainless extended mirrors on each door with Ford script. There's diamond plate protective trim on each fender with vintage style aluminum Ford step plates. All new smoked glass. Every gasket, weatherstrip and window seal is new. A big rig wouldn't be complete without exhaust stacks! The chambered pipes are ceramic coated and they have stainless steel guards. Lights, it has lots of lights. 5 cool cone shaped running lights on the roof, 2 chrome Ford spotlights and vintage Ford fog lamps with yellow lenses on the bumper. The Double Sleeper: It is a vintage 1980s double sleeper. Restored to show condition. No rust, dents, damage or waves. It is straight metal. Custom 3 tone paint is polished smooth and glossy. There's a good sized locking compartment on each side, inside both is all carpeted. On the passenger side there is a locking door that gives access into the sleeper. There is even a step ladder and a big deluxe grab bar to get in. Under the sleeper is a custom made battery box with two 12 volt batteries. Also huge polished fuel tanks on each side. Enclosed Hauler: One of a kind, custom built in Bowling Green to look like a Great Dane semi trailer from the 1950s. The ribbed stainless is polished like chrome. There is a wide access door on each side, each with premium latches. Here are some of those over the top details: Not only does each door have a rod that swings out to hold the door open but there are also stainless cables as a back up. There is a custom made, set of substantial aluminum steps with hand rail that can be attached to side entrance. In back there is a power ramp door that gets lowered by a remote. Under the hauler is filled in and fitted with custom made diamond plate storage boxes. Every door and compartment has a lock. Every compartment has a rubber seal making weather tight. There is an air chuck with hose and tire filler in one box. Of course it has an abundance of marker lights. Has hitch receiver and trailer plug with electric trailer brakes. INTERIOR: The Cab: The inside of the cab is upholstered match- the visors, custom door panels and Mustang bucket seats. The seats have a power lumbar, adjustable side bolsters and armrest. Doors have custom armrests, power locks and window switches. The dash is painted black and was actually wet sanded and polished like a mirror. Machine turned inserts decorate the dash. There is a nice looking set of gauges. The floor is custom carpeted with sewn edges. Features include retro stereo, air conditioning, tachometer, tilt wheel, overhead map lights and my favorite- pull chain for the air horns! It also has billet pedals, trailer brake adjuster. It is like new inside, even under the seats the brackets look new, the brackets for the visors look new. The cab was cut open to allow access directly into the sleeper. They used a high quality rubber seal between cab and sleeper. The Double Sleeper: Has all the comforts of home, well maybe that's a stretch but it is cozy. There is a mattress on a platform. Under the platform are 2 sliding doors that give access to a big storage space. At each front corner there are mini closets both with bars to accommodate hangers. A divider curtain offers privacy. Has seat belts so can also be used for transporting extra people it has its own heat and air conditioning controls, overhead lighting and a stereo. It is completely upholstered. Enclosed Hauler: Prior to us buying it there has never been a car inside, straps were never unpackaged. The straps are in a polished diamond plate tool box. It is finished in white paneling with aluminum strips over the seams. The entire floor is diamond plate, even custom work over the door sills. There are interior lights split into two groups. There are two light switches by each side door, both are protected by a steel gaurd (another over the top detail). On the floor it uses EZ track, a versatile system for securing cars, bikes, toys etc. Complete with straps and hardware. It has a dovetail design. Inside height in front is 6'8" and in back is 8'2
