MODS AND NEW PARTS:
- Fresh .040 over 352FE with ~2,000 miles. Tons of torque! Completely broken in. Break in oil changed immediately after initial cam break in, again at 500 miles, and about to be changed again at 1500 miles. At this point, normal oil change intervals can be used. ZDDP enhanced oil always used for the flat tappet.
- Fresh C6AE-R heads and hardened exhaust valve seats
- RV cam, power is down low where it should be on a truck and provides plenty of passing power below 4500 rpm. It'll rev much higher; but, I never shift passed 4500rpm.
- Melling standard volume oil pump
- Edelbrock Performer 390 Intake Manifold part# 7105
- Edelbrock 1405 600cfm 4 Barrel Carburetor that's tuned and dialed in perfectly for the engine. Starts quick when cold and hot. Tuning with vac gauge is a steady 16â€hg, right on the money for the RV cam. This is also a manual choke carb so no worries on adjusting or failure of an electric choke.
- almost all ARP dress up bolts used
- Holley Fuel pressure regulator, AN fittings and stainless steel 6AN fuel lines
- modified distributor and freshened up internals. Distributor cam is set on the 10L slot, initial advance is set at 16* and all in is at 34* around 3000-3200rpm (due to spacer on cam gear slot). Also has a new vac advance unit.
- 1 inch phenolic carb spacer
- 14" diameter, 3" tall air filter
- Flow tech long tube headers
- True dual exhaust with dual 30" glass pack mufflers (nice and quiet at idle and on the highway)
- Edelbrock 8805 aluminum hi flow water pump
- Taylor Thundervolt 8.2mm spark plug wires
- Autolite spark plugs (the best for this engine)
- March performance chrome pulleys
- 18" 6 blade mechanical fan
- new clutch and throw out bearing (installed at the same time as the engine)
- flywheel resurfaced
- transmission was completely resealed
- 3 point seat belts installed
- ALL NEW BRAKES including drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders, hoses, and master cylinder
- new ignition coil
- new wheel bearings
- New Hankook Optimo H724 thin Whitewall tires
- New steering coupler (rag joint)
- SunPro Supertach II tachometer
- new Gabriel shocks on all four corners
- 180* t-stat. Engine has never ran hotter than 200* even on a hot day in stop and go traffic
- new alternator
- new starter wrapped in heat blanket for protection next to long tube headers
- new starter solenoid
- new Group 65 battery, 850cca
- new voltage regulator
- new battery cables
- new grounds
- new wiring harness from voltage regulator to alternator
- new Carter fuel pump
- new belt
- new drive shaft center support
- new drive shaft u joints
- new u joint u bolt straps
- new rear wheel seals
- All new rubber hoses
- new engine mounts
- new transmission mount
- new custom throttle cable and bracket
- newer interior done by a previous owner. Looks fresh on the inside.
- has overload springs installed in the rear
BONUS PARTS:
- Additional stock 352 virgin block. Hasn't been bored or touched. I pulled it to rebuild but found a great deal on the new motor that's in it. I kept this block to eventually turn into a 390. The engine was running fine when pulled; but, I'd rebuild it before running it. Will turn, not seized. I did ruin the old cam bearings when pulling the cam.
- Under dash AC unit. It was working (no Freon due to cracked condenser) when I removed it; but, I pulled it to put new parts in. It's currently taken apart. Also comes with a York compressor and engine bracket, and multi groove pulleys should you decide to install the ac
- Stock iron intake manifold to maybe use as a boat anchor
- stock 5 blade fan
- tons of stock bolts bagged and tagged should you ever need them.
- comes with original factory service manuals
- lots of other stock parts. 3 bins full to be exact
OTHER INFO:
- 58,616 original miles on the odometer. Engine was replaced at 56,737 miles. About 2,000 miles on the new engine, clutch, flywheel, and pretty much all other new parts.
- nearly everything listed was installed by me. I did the engine break in, adjusted the clutch, tuned it, timed it, etc. I know this truck inside and out!
- paint was redone in the 90s so it's not perfect; but looks great when she's cleaned up. Has some dings, chips, etc. consistent with a 30 year old paint job/50 year old truck. We decided to keep it as such because it's a truck. It's a driver quality paint job.
- cab corners, cab mounts, and bed in the truck are SOLID!
- comes with original paperwork from the original owner and the original dealer build sheet. The rear diamond plate steel "Barden bumper" was a dealer installed option!
- Original Deluxe Fresh Air Heater gets nice and hot. Adjust the temp to your liking from the cab, set the fan on hi or low. Defrost also works! The Deluxe heater was a factory installed option which gives you temperature adjustability inside the cab rather than having to turn the heater flow on/off under the hood.
- Windshield wipers and windshield washer pump work flawlessly. Just replaced all rubber lines from bag to pump to nozzles. Brand new reservoir bag.
- Emergency flashers also work. This was a dealer installed option. Recently replaced the flasher switch to get them in good working order.
- Original AM radio and speaker work well! If you have AM radio in your city, you'll hear it through the radio just like you would have back in the day.
- Comes with under bed spare tire carrier and tire.
- could use new weatherstripping
- Will need a few patches in cab floor pan, small areas beginning to show.
- Valve covers seep a little oil. Will try to fix prior to sell
