1940 Ford 2DR Custom

Time to sell my 1940 Ford hotrod sedan. Built in 85-87, shown and driven since. Car has taken many awards thru the years, including 1st in class(Radical Rod Sedan) Detroit Autorama, with special Street Achievement Interior Award, 1991 and cover car with 7 page feature in Rod Action, Nov. 92. Showdays are over now but a few modern upgrades and fresh paint could make it happen again. Car has been lowered then sectioned 3 1/2", frame boxed front and rear with MII front suspension, tubular A arms and 11" disc brakes. Rear suspension is on leaf springs with 10" X 2" Mustang drums. a 351 4vv Cleveland( refreshed @ 59K miles with standard dimension rings bearings etc. at time of build) with open chamber heads and a performance upgraded C6 auto transmission. Rear axle is a Ford 8" with trac loc 3.40:1 gearing. Many custom touches had been incorporated to make it a hit in it's day, see photos. Interior is done in cloth and vinyl by the late Gary Benway and is in good to very good condition. Car is equipped with heater, power steering, power seats and Ford premium sound AM/FM cassette unit. Entry is provided by a remote with trunk and "panic" functions. Please reference Rod Action, Nov. 92 and Street Rodder, June 99 for more descriptions of car and owner/builder.
