1963 Ford Thunderbird Landau

This is a 1963 Thunderbird Landau, one of 10,139 made for that model year. This car was rescued from the elements yet the body for this age vehicle is in pretty good shape. This car does run but does not drive as it won't go into reverse. Updates/Modifications: Holley replacement carburetor, water pump, timing chain and gears, Pertronics complete distributor, fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel tank and sending unit, brakes all the way around, dual bowl master cylinder, complete front end suspension rebuild, replacement hood and replacement door (in trunk not installed). The power steering pump was rebuilt but not adjusted completely so that will need to be done. Has small exhaust manifold leak due to heat shield (metal on metal seal) is gone on #4. This is not a car you can drive home as it is in the process of being restored. This car came from the factory with power windows, power driver's seat, air conditioning, power steering, and slide away steering wheel. It appears that all of the glass is factory and the power accessories still function with the exception of the clock. There are also two spindles in the trunk to do a disc brake conversion. The brake light switch has been removed as it went bad and has not been replaced. The switch goes in the brake distribution block. The trunk deck will need replacing as well as the cowl. I have a contact with someone who has these parts but I never ordered them. Was planning on restoring the vehicle but lost interest. $3000 in parts alone invested.
