1964 Ford Econoline Van *Running and Driving with Original Patina*
1964 Ford E-Series Van Van
This 1964 Ford Econoline offers a striking patina. It was originally a TV service van, and many of the hand painted logos are still visible on all panels. The van offers a lot of space and would be perfect for a camper conversion, small business, hauling stuff, or just vanning around. We have driven the van extensively, moved tools and parts in it, and enjoyed partially restoring it. We'd love to pass the van on to another loving owner.

The van was discovered in a field near Dallas, and was picked up by a classic collector. We purchased the vehicle from him 2 years ago, and have completed a lot of work to bring the van to operational condition. The interior was completely stripped to bare metal, interior rust removed, and repainted in IH white. The passenger floorpan was replaced, and rust spots on the A pillar were professionally repaired. Afterwards, the following mechanical work was performed:
New Yokohama tires
New Brake Master Cylinder
New Rubber Brake Lines
New Wheel Cylinders
New Brake Shoes
New Battery
New Battery Cables
New E-Z Wiring Fuse Box
100% Labelled Wiring Harness, with new wires to all lights, switches, and accessories
Rebuilt Carburetor
New Fuel Pump
New Coil
New Electronic Ignition
New Plugs and Wires
New Air Cleaner
New Front Windshield
New Front Door Seals
New Rear Door Seals
New Rear Window Seals
The driving experience is very fun; you sit in front of the front axle. The position is elevated and upright, with great visibility through the giant windshield. The doghouse (engine compartment) does not get too hot, and thankfully does not allow many fumes inside of the cabin. The clutch, brake, and accelerator pedals are firm and linear. The van does not pull in any direction when accelerating or braking. The van cruises comfortably at about 65. In Houston traffic in hot weather, the carb will sometimes vapor lock. An electric fuel pump could be added near the tank to solve this. The obviously has a lot of surface rust, but we have included underbody shots to show that there is no rust-through underneath.
