Here I have a 1992 Ford Mustang GT convertible. Bright red with very rare white and scarlet leather.
5.0 302 with the 5 speed manual transmission. 58k on the clock however the speedometer and odometer are currently not functioning. It has been driven maybe once a year for the past 10 years.
It runs very strong and has a nice, tight transmission and clutch and a ton of power. It sat up for the last 10 years and developed flat spots in all 4 tires that are causing a vibration when driving it. It doesn't smoke at all and it appears to have a small oil leak underneath. It sounds good with the exhaust but under the hood seems pretty stock. Still had the original air box. Brakes are spongy from a leaky rear wheel brake cylinder and it takes a couple extra cranks to start when cold.
This mustang is almost completely stock and original. The only changes I can tell are exhaust, wheels and a short shifter. The interior is stock and the wheels are cobra wheels.
I rescued this from sitting under someone's carport a couple weeks ago. It was sitting with the top down with a tarp over it for some years and had old gas in it but it still fired right up. The previous owner used bleach on the white convertible top and almost instantly destroyed it. The frame is in great shape and functions correctly. The interior is in pretty good shape but could use a little TLC. The dash is perfect. Has the matching parade cover for the convertible top in great shape.
the body is straight and appears to have never been in an accident. Has a couple small dings and 2 scratches on the side. It needs paint job because the paint is faded on the hood and trunk and the front bumper is chipped. Has 2 somewhat minor rust spots on the inside of the drivers door sill and 1 on the passenger side from water leaking down to those spots. Easily repairable from my opinion. Underneath is solid
again, it was a rescue for me. I found and went back and forth with the previous owner to buy it and save it and give a mustang lover the opportunity to have an awesome car.
I dont know a ton about it and have really only got it home and cleaned up a little and drained the old gas. I did put new lights on the front and back and that's about it.
